ok someone plz explain to me why it goes so fast. i've never watched a demo before but when i played it it went super fast.like fast forward 32x.REALLY fast.so if someone could help me by telling me what i did wrong that would be nice.

what i did was start a game and play the demo through the console so if thats wrong also tell me

"gg" in the console is short for "game gauge" and pretty much is used for benchmarking your computer. It will render the demo as absolutely fast as it can, and report the average FPS while it's doing it in a file on your hard drive.



Use "playdemo" for normal playback, and "viewdemo" for playback with nifty extra controls (with F1 and F2 keys) if I recall correctly.



And to SinaC... your efforts are appreciated man, and nobody is perfect. I'm gonna have to agree with rizzuh on the massage idea. I can think of a couple guys who regularly post who would be more than happy to give you a full body massage...

For y'all info too, The geekplay is not compatible with xp:< So run it in 98/me compat and it works if a little cojfusing, cos on start up it tells you all these things it CANT do, like, create icons and blah blah, then all of a sudden, POWEE you get a screen, Its fairly straight forward from there... Is there anyway of editing demos, or does that kind of thing have to be odne with video.. I know someone posted a response to a similar question abouit tuts, but they recommeneded soem warez for me to get.. My work IT ADMIN deleted my faves yesterday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B*STARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scared I know more than him...
