any of u guys tried the infinity pak? pretty good models in it and other bits but i prefer the sounds and weapon models in the action pak .

The p_ models (what you see other players carrying) of the UMP and SG550 are locked. This means you must use the default for those two models. Everything else can be changed, including the w_ (what's on the ground) and v_ (what's in your hands) models of the UMP and SG550.



Why this is, I really don't know, but it's been known for some time. Heh, I remember puffycloud marking down the "custom p_ and w_ models" pack just because it was missing the p_ models of those two guns... funny stuff.



And -3RIC- that link brings back memories. Well, actually, I felt kind of stupid, had like 8 browser windows of CSN up, and forgot that I had opened a link to an old section. So I was sitting there glancing through them and thinking "whoah... deja vu... didn't we just have this discussion not too long ago?... oh duh"

All Merc Packs suck, Models are Lanky and Dumb, HUD is Horrid, Sounds sound like a Spooky Halloween Horror Soundtrack 8-Track tape at some cheesy neighborhood Haunted House.

i never really saw the point of changing the crosshairs and models in cs except the highfps models...

Everyone playing in a clan that participates in various leagues will know that the leagues ban the use of custom models & crosshairs etc...

Custom crosshairs can help you see exactly where you're aiming with the Aug or the Sig552. With all the full zoom rifles, customized crosshairs are just for aesthetics, which is basically the reason to change weapon models too. I really don't wanna have to look at the garbage defaults, so I try to find good custom models. Usually they're just re-skins, but I'm not looking for a completely different gun, just a better looking version of the actual weapon. I keep submitting this awesome UMP model, but somebody won't put it up as the SotD >

Wha... an awesome UMP?!? I've never heard of such a thing existing, and I've been looking for one for quite some time!



That is... as long as it looks mostly the same, just better, no grenade launchers and extra clips and scopes with flashlights and freaking laser beams going everywhere...



Simple. Realistic. Same gun. Beautiful. That's what I look for. And because it's such a highly personal taste issue... custom model packs just don't do it for me. Still looking for a way of installing only the custom blood from the CS realism update... stupid installer .exe file. :-/



As far as rizzuh's script... any chance you'd host another? Nothing against yours... it's quite functional, but it looks ugly as hell trying to read through it. A little formatting here and there, and a few extra features... would you host a modified version? (Based on the 15.1 of course) Lemme know.
