AoWC Interview

Paladin from Gaming Servers has let me know that he has done a quick interview with DeadHeart. It focuses on the harassment from CAL players against DeadHeart's company, Art of War Central (they provide free game servers & HLTV services for CAL-i matches). Many players seem to hate AoWC, and let it be known loud and clear.

AoWC_DeadHeart: The companie is ready to leave CAL over the community... Me, and i have talked to others, feel the same that we will try to provide the cal the best.. and keep working, hard, but as we work harder, and harder everyday to meet CALs issues, and the communty not supporting us, as we do them,, Then its only a matter of time before we pull out, and they can find another provider to supply all that we do and are going to do..

As an "interview" they could have at least attempted to make it gramtically correct. They could have also let the general public know just what the hell they were talking about, as there is not much information unveiled in this particular interview. I wouldn't bother reading this, it might as well have been a 30 second Instant Message conversation.

I don't think people realize just what AoWC does for CAL, so they slipped a bit but I can't understand the ongoing hatred.

Hatred? From me? Hardly. I just dislike pieces of writing "published" to a mass audience such as this that are complete pieces of trash. It wouldn't be half bad if they would elaborate on the events that took place and cleaned up the gramatical errors a bit. No ones perfect, but this article, they didn't even run spell check on.

i used to help run a couple servers that were run by aowc, they managed to mess shit up every once and a while. on 2 occasions they gave the servers ip changes without letting us admins know about it.



otherwise falcon and deadheart did a great job of maintaining the servers. they provided us with updates quickly so that we would be compatible with 1.3, 1.4... they are also quick to help you out if you were having software problems. they have also implemented some programs to help out people that dont have very much experiance in starting up a cs server and maintaining it.

Heres the point: the guy obviously is not well educate from the way hes speaking, or was just in a hurry. Either way, AoWC does A LOT for the CAL and people bad mouthing them is BS. What if they didn't do ANYTHING for CAL? Then youd really have something to complain about.

ok then u guys go put yer cpl ranking in the hands of aowc...cuz im not. Virtually every match we have on an aowc server is a total waste of time. If you can't feel the difference in "their" servers....then please go back to cs school cuz it isn't just me that sees it. Pretty much all of cal-i players while trying to get a scrim look to see where the server is hosted b4 they even agree to play in a server......if you say yer server is aowc.....they will cancel or look for a better server to play at. Its that simple.

i didn't edit anything he said i wanted to leave it the way it was i just condensed it i could of just posted the irc log where he types 3 words and hits enter. I gave him a fair chance to speak his mind to the population of csnation. yes i say give AoWC a break even though i'm a competitor of his. They are losing money no doubt from providing cal with the sponsorship.

If they didn't do anything for CAL, then maybe CAL would get a better host. :)

CAL should get gamedaemons....



but you have to get AoWC credit for supporting CAL and giving HLTV's for all you to watch. You can't take that away from them. Not only HLTV, but the HLTV demo's just in case people missed it/couldn't find the time to watch it at that moment in time.

our clan has an AoWC server, and one of our members (in the same location as us) pings 200 to it. When that member is starting we always have to reserve a speakeasy.
