Updated ViewDemo

UPDATE: You should not download this update aftering installing DoD 1.0 or any CS version past 1.5. Viewdemo will not work if you have DoD 1.0 installed.



An update for the integrated ViewDemo (click here for more info) has been released on the creator's website. The creator of HLTV and ViewDemo, it should be noted, doesn't actually work in VALVe's Kirkland office but rather in his home country of Germany.



The updated ViewDemo fixes some small HLTV issues, but also includes the updates from June which most of you probably don't have (like voice comm not being played, or screwy team skins). Grab the update from the creator's site in Germany or our local mirror.



To use ViewDemo, simply type viewdemo [filename] into your console. Press F2 to bring up the controls menu~! Thanks to FLeK0 for the submission.

I think in CS1.6 you can change them.

GeekPlay is just a tool to start playing demo, resize it, and remove team-talking.

It's a newer version, the previous version(from June) worked fine too.

I really enjoy to watch demos with viewdemo, I like to slow some scenes down, it's cool :). In 1.6 they will add some new features, just check the new ver. info, can't wait for it :p. Watch the pros..

Honestly, I don't understand why this is such a big deal with so many people. There's more keys on your number keypad (you know, that little part of your keyboard on the right-hand side) than there are F keys. You can bind all 16 (not numlock though, unfortunately) of the regular keys there, which provides for as many weapons and accessories as most people use. Simple? Yes... yes it is.



Anyway, viewdemo is quite good, looking forward to the final release.

I always use "playdemo <filename>" as "viewdemo <filename>" seems to remove voices recorded via the the Voice Comm.

Better keep those .dll's updated though

With this fix you can hear in game voice now, among other things.
