    Nice work Disk2. I don't have music on while playing online for the obvious reasons but this is great for playing against the POD-bots.

          Compatible with Rze helper?

            Naturally it's compatible with Rze's CS helper, but you have to have a slight clue what you're doing. In the .zip file, you'll basically have 2 files that you'll actually use. The gen_hlamp.dll (something like that) file goes into your winamp\plugins dir.

            The commandmenu.txt file you'll need to mess with if you use Rze's CS helper. Basically you'll have to open it up, and do some quick cut & paste work.

            Rze's CS helper adds a few extra menus to your VGUI menu system, so you have to cut the last section from the HLamp version of the commandmenu.txt, starting with...
            "5" "Winamp"

            {
            through the end, and paste it in after the end of your existing commandmenu.txt file (in your halflife\cstrike dir).

            Each section starts with a number, for the key you press.
            "1" "HELP"

            {

            ...

            "3" "TEAM MESSAGE"

            {
            etc.

            Currently HLamp is set to "5" which I believe is also used in Rze's CS helper. No problem, just change that number to the next available number (eg, "6" if that's available), and it'll work fine.

            I never use the VGUI menus, other than for my personal admin commands. Find it too troublesome to have a bunch of menus up while trying to shoot people, heh.

            The real downside of this plugin is that the volume control is messing with your master wave volume (as winamp does), so your CS sounds will get quieter if you turn the volume down, and will be muted if you mute your mp3's. Still a useful little program though.

              Is it normal for WinAmp (2.81) to stop playing .wma files due to the HLamp .dll ?

              (JUST emailed Disk2 the error code that appeared, due to the forums being.... gone)

              I've just copied my Brave New World album over to "my music" in .wma format and WinAmp plays everything EXCEPT that new folder.

              A restart didn't help (never does though does it?) and WinAmp/HLamp still work with MP3's and .wav's.

              It's nothing important, i'll just those .wma to .MP3 later, just thought I'd post the info here.

                    Oh god I hope I never see one of those fucking spam messages that tells the song when I'm in a game.

                    Why oh why did you include that lame feature.

                    At least I can look at the upside to that, if they're listening to MP3's, they won't hear me sneak up and kill their ass. Then I won't have to see the damn messages.

                        Or you could just walk, and they still wouldn't hear you. But considering if you havn't figured that out yet, you'll probably die anyway.

                              Sneak up typically means "walk." But considering if you haven't figured that out yet, you're probbably a fucking moron.

                              Fucking moron.
