The main problem with 1.5 is the fact that a "good computer" is important to be good at cs. I mean in 1.3 you could have a crappy computer and still be good at the game because you could jump and get an advantage over the enemy. With 1.5 style, you just strafe and aim for the area of the head to get a kill, therefor, if you have a better computer and less lag, you see the enemy faster and you react faster. It's just something about having a good computer now in cs unlike in 1.3 where jumping and moving would give you an advantage over the others.

Stopping you from jumping in combat was the whole idea, shitbitch. And then, in typical moron fashion, you go on to say that while you want to keep the fantasy option of jumping as a means of avoiding bullets, you don't like the new walk speed because it's not realistic ENOUGH? Make up your mind, smacktard.
I like the concept of "slowing down b-hoppers," I just don't like how they went about it. In my opinion they should have stopped the player after 2 jumps, because that stops bunny hoppers, but still allows us to jump in combat.
The slow walk is just horrible. In real life you can run silently almost.Doomtroop wrote..
Ah, another jackass deluding himself into thinking that anything was actually better in 1.3. NEWSFLASH, dipshit: CS' performance went downhill long before 1.3. The only thing that's any different now is that you CAN'T JUMP CONSTANTLY LIKE A FUCKING SCRUB.

Secondly, having a "good computer" is and has been a huge factor in online FPSes since Doom. In the years before CS, not once has anyone with a choppy framerate pissed and moaned about not being able to win solely because they can't get favorable results by pressing the spacebar at the same pace they jerk off at.
Were you just born yesterday or what? Oh, let me guess, another "expert that's played from the first day CS went retail".Comment

Wouldnt it be easier to just play on a server that uses the 1.3 jump plugin?

well lopinboy if u ask any annoying kiddie they'll probably say they like 1.3 because that's when they started playin cs around the 1.x era. Ask the old skool annoying peeps and they'd say beta 4/5 so it's no different.
Ask the skilled players and they should just accept it and adapt, it's a sign of a real good player, and not just one that can get a frag in one particular old version of a game.Comment

I personally found 7.2 to be nice, but I only played it for a short time because of a complete shit computer (that is what prevent earlier playing, 4-5 fps isn't the best you know, but my connection was upgraded in 7.2 era thanks to someone informing my parents of cable).
I accepted the changes, but I'd still rather have jumping to force me to aim more and so it's hardly to get killed by pure luck. I'd also like to have the old deagle accuracy back, these days, it seems to hit hardly ever unless you are next to them. There also seemed to be a netcode change in 1.4, because my choke and loss has increased and it's almost impossible to stop it in 1.4/5.
Then there is always the whole M4 issue I can't stand. They made it even more dominating than it was. It almost nullified the effectiveness of a rush, knowing the guy could just spray and kill half the team because we can't "jump" out of it for that split second to fight back.
Last but not least, I used to "whore" the pump, but now it seems it does less damage AND it is a LOT harder to get close to a guy to even use it. So the weapons that "ruled" now completely dominate and the weapons that were once "ok" completely suck.
I'd just rather see more skill required and not all this complete luck.Comment
