CS 1.6 Rumors

A few weeks ago, someone on the SoGamed forums made a little joke. They posted an obviously fake e-mail from Erik Johnson and then said something like "I wish." Okay, so my memory is as fuzzy as my hair after sitting in a bathtub with a toaster, but the point is that this e-mail was not real.



CS 1.6 will not revert to CS 1.3's jumping style, diagonal walk speeds, or weapon accuracies/balance. CS 1.6 will obviously feature a different weapon balance than CS 1.3 because of the addition of two new weapons (more info). So, yes, CS 1.3 jumping shall forever remain dead and the walk speed will probably remain unchanged. Alright WTF is going on nearly every cheat website now has a disclaimer. Is this because ID sued the ogc team? Are they really able to keep there cheats up because of a law passed by clinton in 1995?



They also state they will take people to court if accessed by any anti-piracy or government group? how is that allowed? has our government gotten so lax on the internet that laws protect people who are breaking others? The Half-Life License agreement cleary states that making cheats for the multiplayer aspect is not allowed arent they breaking the law?



There is a good chance that classic cs is ruined in the last weeks cheaters have taken over since the last three vac recalls.

Cs 1.6 Will not be our salvation because Cs never had a license agreement.

There will be no cheaters in CS:CZ because of a new License Agreement and new vac that will come with it.

Those who produce cheats for CS:CZ will not be benned from gameplay but taken to court. Websites who hold these hacks will also be prosecutable by law.

If you do not accept the license agreement dont buy the game.



If any one can please research the 1995 Internet agreement law Passed by Bill Clinton anyone who houses such files that break other laws should be prosecuted for the laws there websites or webhost break

Ha. I made this up while talking to a buddy of mine. I then showed it to a few people and channels on IRC. Eventually it got spread to SoGamed. I have posted a few times on SoGamed and Gamers.nu saying it was fake, but obviously the Euros can't read. D:

i think its hilarious how everyone believed it even though it wasnt an official mail (erik just decided to randomly mail somebody to let them know about these big changes, i dont think so...)



everyone goes on about how they want things back the way they were. its called nostalgia - the game is BETTER now. I'll get flamed for saying that no doubt, but its true.



related - there was a comment on sogamed about how CS is made for CPL not for casual gamers. hello??????

All because people want back 1.3.... shesh, give the ORIGINALS and the MAJORITY what they want. Take an OFFICIAL poll asking 1.3 style or 1.4/5. Whatever one wins, that is how the game is made. This poll should require LEGIT cdkeys, so that would mean you should have to pull out you HL or CS cd and type in your key. That would create less chance of cheaters just deleting cookies.

hey I noticed today that when you press f1 it's not only a little annoying box in the corner. It's an expandable one with continue or quit game :) Ima genius (if you dont understand: try to maximize the little window)



I dont have friends. Can I delete the friends thing with 1.6 just like we could do with 1.5?

I think his use of the word ORIGINALS comes to the whole point. some people think that they have the right to determine how the game develops because "they were here first". not true - get over it.
