Gee, where did I, and probably hundreds of other people, hear about 1.6 possibly having 1.3 jumping etc... let me think... oh that's right. Right here at CS Nation in your 3D | Moto interview excerpt. I don't think you guys helped the rumour mill one bit.

You can unbind the Friends key in regular cs by going to the valve/cl_dlls/ folder and renaming gameui.dll to anything else (for backup purposes, otherwise I'd say delete it).



I don't know if you can do this on the Steam version though because of the cache file thing.

And vigilent admins are the best solution. Fair ones. Not prissy 13 year olds who spray and suck and ban those who know how to play.

By the time CS:CZ comes out Cs 1.6 will be Cs 1.7 and CZ will have an update patch to play either Classic multiplayer or CS:CZ multiplayer.

EXAMPLE

Wont be enabled in multiplayer till Cs 1.7



and if there are cheaters in CS:CZ I will quit CS.....Period

yes, i know this. i said REBIND, because i would like to USE 'friends' without having to give up my first two F-keys. cs 1.6 is steam-only, and you will be able to rename the file if u dont use it in the full 1.6.

i feel dumb, i never heard of this rumor and im too lazy to read the interviews =), but i really think that you people are taking this too seriously. i have been playing only since 1.1 and times were fair back then and i was naive and thinking that cheaters were all on other servers, i thought that back then. Now i doubt if anyone who has played CS for more than a month has seen at least one blatent cheater and several non-blatent cheaters in that time. i am an admin on my server and i am only 14 years old, i have seen many cheaters on my clan's server and i have slapped/slayed/kick/banned all of the ones i could find. i have also been on servers where the cheaters WERE admins and were gay and dumbasses. ok thats why i left those dumbass servers and found a bunch of good servers. whenever someone complains that "oh no this server is crap" or "you people suck!" or "CS is the worst game of all time" or much more "the new CS mechanics suck, i want to go back to 1.3 movement and bunny hopping!" THEY CONTINUE PLAYING!!!!! ok seriously, the reason CS is one of the top if not the top multiplayer game is that it is good and has enough normal good people playing it, and STILL PEOPLE FLOCK TO IT, be it crap 13 year olds (im only 14 but i know how to play) to kickass like 30 year olds (like this one guy in my clan who rocks) people will still play even if valve continues to improve CS for better or worse. i love this game, i have near abandoned it several times yet it is the only game i constantly play, i tried Q3 for awhile (sigh boring) i tried TFC for awhile (sigh boring) i tried DOD for awhile (great game but my comp broke DOD). and yet CS is always great, i may be bored of it one day its still great another. you may rant and rant about how 1.3 was best and how you loved old versions, but if you are commenting here you must STILL be playing, wether it be professionaly, casually, or just for kicks you keep coming back. plz read my rant and derive something from it, if anything SHUT UP ABOUT HOW CS SUCKS IF YOU STILL PLAY IT!!!!

Vaishino, as far as i know yes.Steam can update the client side so it will help cheats get detected. No custom models also. This will be good tho cuz some models are too bright and some arent.

No, no, no, dagz. The 1.6 *beta* will be steam only because it is steam 2.0 beta as well. After a month of beta testing, it shold be released normally. Of course people can continue to use steam, but they won't have to.

From what we've heard in the past, yes. But Steam will probably be more integrated into HL.exe rather than a totally separate program.
