I only play on one server, and I believe that it had the beta modules. I just came off playing against someone who was VERY obviously using a wallhack. He was tracking through walls, sitting perfectly still for minutes on end then moving to take his shot just when someone was going around a corner (walking and too far for sound). I too was overjoyed at the news of this wallhack block, but... unless it wasn't working properly on the server... it doesn't work against everything. I'm gonna check to confirm that the module was installed properly and try to report back.

Hey Asshole, we knew the fucker was cheating ok and by him crashing the server when we kicked him out proved it plain and simple. Don't give me that I suck BS I've been playing this damn game too long.

Well truth be told yes most public servers especially for CS and TFC are filled with 12 year old's. In my clan I admin 2 TFC and 1 part time CS public servers and, you guessed it, you see a lot of 12 yr old kids thinking they can dis-obey the rules on our servers and do whatever they want, imagine their surprise when I am there admining or other admins are around to handle them.

As for some wallhacks that work? That's just plain and simple video card driver hacks, rather like the old ASUS drivers a few year's back that allowed things like wireframe mode and even transparency I believe for OPENGL. There was also a newer video card that was mentioned here on CSN a couple months back that had this same crap built into the drivers.

I have to say GJ VALVe for finally getting close to implementing this, especially since the VAC WH Block will go eventually into DOD, and in the next major HL patch, TFC/HLDM/DMC/Ricochet etc will get VAC with the WH block as well.

Out of curiosity how did the guy crash the server? Through a Admin Mod exploit? If that's the case I'd look into upgrading Admin MoD if you haven't already and take a few security precautions with AM (Admin Mod Forums are a good place to look for info).

Then you won't be vulnerable to some pimply faced 12 yr old kid with a temper using his "l337 crash scripts".

I'm not sure, it was on "Dust Minn 24/7" a PCP run server, the crash was an overflow of some kind.

Just things like that annoy the hell outta me when you kick someone, they come back, and then crash the server. In a way theres nothing you can do. Unless there was an admin that would just ban him instead. But getting admins that you don't know to ban someone that is cheating is a pain in the ass to do. Either they don't listen, or don't care.

Damn... Some users are reporting crashes when running with a flashbang in hand. Seems that VALVe is trying to stop flashbang hacks too, but is buggy. Needs more tweaking and testing... :/

Sound's like 25026 AM release to me. I know this version was vulnerable to name and buffer overflows that could then crash a server.

I'd d/l the latest beta relase (25042) from here

                      http://www.adminmod.org/downloads/beta/

And install it. It will also support AM commands on user's with STEAM ID's.

Two SOTD's in one morning? Hurrah for lack of logic!

[Its not possible to have two sotd's for the same day, fix your time settings. Note: the sako was the 24th's this is the 25th's sotd]

Anyway, very nice model. It's a little bit odd looking but alright. Good quality anyway. I can't really fault the modelling. 'Nuff said.

Because of the way this model is held in-game, and because you're basically looking at a solid slide side (due to this model being 'correctly mirrored'), the skin actually counts for more then the modelling does. Sadly, all four skins included are a little... iffy. SolidSnake's is the best out of the four I reckon, Cyper and Insulaner's are a little bit bland, and Numb's is just... odd. There's something not right with the lighting on it. All four skins seem somewhat under-contrasted (something I've noticed a lot of newer skinners doing) - start using those dodge and burn tools more guys!

Not much else I can say on the skins. Nothing wrong with them per se, but nothing great about any of them either. I personally have done a bit of mix and matching and editing in Photoshop myself and come up with a skin I prefer.

Animations are defaults, and the default USP animations have always been good enough so not much else to say on that front.

Overall, nicely modelled but all four skins are just a bit 'blah', and let the model down. I do like this model enough to keep it, though admittedly with my own highly edited skin and converted to P228, but it's far from being as good as it could have been. If someone of -X- quality could come along and re-skin this it'd be great, but as it is right now it just about fits the role of a 'nice model' so long as you don't see it all the time.

Definatly try it out. It is good. Just don't be surprised if you find yourself giving Photoshop a boot...

Nice model, with some great skins.

The model is great, I really like how it gives this replacement a clean, modern look. It works great as a USP replacement, and I enjoy using it in game. The only complaint I have with the model, is that the TAC light could be slightly bigger. In game, you cant really tell its a light of any kind at all.

There are a lot of skins that come with this model, and I really like like a few of them, but dislike the rest.

Cyper's skin is easily my favorite. The colour scheme used is great, and it reminds me of the default USP. Its simple, It's clean, It's sharp, It's uber 1337. As I said before, the TAC light is kind of small, but this skin on it makes you think in game, "whatever that thing is, it looks great!"

Insulaner's skin is next. It has the same qualities of the above skin, but it's black. I liked using it too, because it has a nice sleek, tactile feel to it.

Numb Rider's skin is my least favorite. It has unconvincing lighting effects, and a weird colour scheme. Nearly all of the model is dark gray, but the hammer is silver. The silver silencer wasn't exactly my thing either, and didn't like using it in game.

Solid Snake has made a nice silver skin for the gun, and it works OK. I liked the extra detail in this skin. While using it in game, you will probably notice little things like scratches, buttons and switches over the gun, and some really crisp textures.

This replacement has NO shield models though. They are easy to make for yourself if you are really determined, but nobody really uses the shield too much anyway, so it's not that big of a deal. It just is so sad to be spectating someone with one, and to see that ugly old default v_shield_usp model!

Other than no shield, this replacement is great with a good model and a lot of good skins. It looks slightly different than the your average USP, but it keeps the same feel that they have. Try this one out NOW, or you are missing out on something great.
