    WCG Updates

I've got some super-duper bling-bling World Cyber Games updates for my fellow thugs.[break="too much bling for the main page, click here!"]
    • nerve has won wcg canada, thus winning a free trip to korea to represent canada in the wcg and a chance to take home $40,000. they and legends never die, who won wcg last year, give canada quite the chance to actually win something.

    • the australian qualifiers have wrapped up, and ichor has taken the top spot. they beat f-zer0 who knocked 3d into the losers bracket early at the last cpl! thanks for the news, noetix!

    • team rival won the california wcg pre-qualifiers, and they will represent california in the wcg qualifiers. vbn came in second in california, so they will also get a free trip to nyc.

    • the wcg pre-qualifiers took place in texas, and riot-squad walked out champions. forsaken (team netzone) was able to grab second place, headed up by ex-riot-squad member, funk. both clans will get a free trip to nyc to compete for a chance to represent the usa in korea.

    • eminence has won the georgia pre-qualifiers, beating out a large list of teams competing for the free trip to nyc. eminence will represent the usa in korea if they win the usa qualifiers, which are taking place at web2zone in nyc. nude came in second in georgia, so they will also get that free trip to nyc and a chance to compete for the $300,000 which will be given out at wcg in korea.

    • wcg has released their list of pool play groups today. they were drawn at random, so there is some serious imbalance in the skill level of each group. if you look at group f, it's quite apparent that most of the skill lies there. it has sweden and the usa, along with last years winners; legends never die.
group a: italy, ukraine, switzerland, kazakhstan, turkey

group b: chinese taipei, south africa, germany, bulgaria, australia

group c: philippines, romania, malaysia, austria, argentina

group d: canada, india, russia, netherlands, japan

group e: spain, czech, portugal, singapore, indonesia

group f: [:lnd:], hungary, sweden, korea, usa

group g: mexico, new zealand, poland, belgium, china

group h: great britain, hong kong china, france, thailand
Be sure to read up on the World Cyber Games on their website. That's it for now, I'll be able to tell you who will represent the USA in Korea on October 6th. See you then! Actually, I'll probably see you tomorrow seeing as Sublyme hasn't shown his face around. Maybe you might even get in depth predictions from me. Maybe.

California won. I thought there were many states in the US. I think whoever posted the news forgot to mention they will be competing in the WCG US qualifiers first.

                      ... huh?

There are 3 (i believe) pre-qualifiers in which the top 2 teams from each of the events get a free trip to NYC to compete in the WCG US qualifier. The winner of that gets a trip to Korea to compete in the WCG.

What did I do wrong in my post?
