    New GeekPlay

GeekPlay 5.0 has been released by bds. GeekPlay is a utility for playing recorded demos (usually a clan match, like with our CAL-I coverage) and makes the process of watching demos much cleaner. Changelog:
    • add: automatic creation of movies (outputting bmp's).

    • add: timedemo support.

    • add: ability to playback demo both as playdemo and viewdemo.

    • fix: teamsay strip support for 1.1.1.0 demos.

    • fix: faster loading time.

    • chg: removed the change of resolution since the bug has been fixed.

    • chg: does not display resolution anymore (cause of the fixed bug).

    • del: removed playback of old demos (too buggy).
Grab the new GeekPlay here and be sure to hug bds for me.

I won't be getting it since it doesn't support old demos anymore.

everytime i load a demo with geekplay it freezes, and only when i end the program does the demo start, but also minimized HL and loses sound.

but rizzuh scripts. rze's cs helper, foolio. it's no geekplay, but it's used just as widely :)

btw it's too bad bds disabled support for old demos, even if it was sometimes buggy. the only thing buggy i found was hltv demos 1.3 and earlier, while the in-eyes view was always fine. oh well, guess there wont be any more 1.3 demos coming out soon anyway huh?

Why? I would imagine it extends keyboard life.

What? The big blue wet thing? PHP is programming?!? And here I thought rizzuh just hand typed up each page specially for me in Notepad...

Yes... some people don't quite get it.

Anyway, I'm always pleased with geekplay. I'll keep the old version around too for those older demos, though.

I have the problem that everytime I try to start GeekPlay, it is minimized and cannot open it. What's the deal?
