CSHelp Needs Help

As some of you may know, #cshelp is an IRC channel that is dedicated to helping people with Counter-Strike and Half-Life technical issues. It seems like #cshelp needs some help of their own. They are looking for people that are knowledgeable in troubleshooting Counter-Strike and Half-Life related issues and are willing to help out 7+ hours a week. CS Help is looking for knowledgeable people to help people out on their IRC channel, #cshelp on GamesNET. They are looking for people who know a lot about Counter-Strike and Half-Life technical issues in general. To qualify, you must be willing to work 7+ hours a week. Read: PER WEEK, meaning one hour per day.. I guess that's too strenuous for you.

It really isn't a huge amount of time taken, but I know it wouldn't take more than a few weeks before I started responding to questions with things like "RTFM" and such. I've worked tech support before... never underestimate the stupidity of the person at the other end. Oh the torment... 8-/

ahhh i do tech support by phone right now... heres a sample:

me- "now find your wall jack, and plug your ethernet cable into it"

"whats an ethernet cable?"

me- "the ends look like phone cable, but with more wires, so the plug is wider"

"ok, whats a wall jack?"

heh, they deserve to lose staff, i used to work there, until one powermad, all round idiot going by the name of TFQ deleted me. Hell, he's deleted half of the staff. They don't appreciate you at all, i worked for like, 10+hrs a week, and i was always stuck at op. Yet others, who worked less than i did, had master/coowner. Lame, no?



And trust me, the newbies that come in make u want to quit, they don't even know how to buy a weapon in CS. They don't even know how to work Google half the time.

Hmm their new rule 7hours a week F*CK dude i did 14 But yes TFQ has gone crazy And now they deleted the best staff + most experienced..

and they put f00king noobs to replace us they r like WHATS THE SHOOTING BUTTON?!?!?

i worked my BUT of and then a guy who doesnt do SHIT gets Masters and i r teh stuck at op well screw the CShelp scene the new helpers will soon agree.. CShelp is getting gayer bye the minute

The main reason some staff members were removed was childish and immature actions. (See above for examples) #CSHelp is only interested in mature, friendly and helpful/useful staff members. Staff which create problems/drama are removed so that the rest of us can help those in need.

Well k1nk0s, enjoy #CSHelp while you last, heh. I kind of think there needs to be rotation of people in and out of the staff there, as most people simply can't handle dealing with PEBKAC errors for too long.



Chaos... I can't help but admit that when I saw your writing style, I wasn't surprised at all to hear you lost your spot on the team. Nothing personal or anything, but being able to write in real English (and without swearing constantly) is a desirable trait that not all people seem to possess.



I'm guessing that master/coowner status wouldn't be given to the most skilled helpers, but rather the ones that the owner trusts the most, whether anyone else agrees or not. Just a thought.
