    More Movies!

Slizer, who is part of Team Merciful, has released a movie of his clan members fraggin' it up on different public servers. You can grab the 81.6MB movie here.

Also, UltraKiller has released a movie called "A Jacksonville Killing Spree" (85.5MB) which includes some of the best players from Jacksonville, Florida. Please give him some feedback at #NoiD.Productions on gamesnet.

I'm starting to get sick of community movies... everywhere you turn there is a new one.

Why even make a movie if it's public servers?

Yes, you know how hard it is to 'frag it up' on a server full of noobs.

..Yea why would they even bother with public server kills?

I don't think there's anything wrong with making a movie containing footage from a pub. Some of you people are a damn sight too elitist for your own good. If it's a nice frag and the enemy isn't too noobish, well then it'll probably be fun to watch the heads getting flown. At least if you're documenting how skillful your clan is rather than documenting a really close battle.

That said, neither of these movies impressed me with a) level of skill or b) really close battles.

Oh my God. What a collection of "No s***, there I was. Looking down the stairs on inferno, three T's coming right at me. I crouch right where I am so that even if one of them actually aims, I'm toast. And what do they do? They all just screech to a halt so I can pick them off easy and they even spray randomly! But just to make it fair, I just shoot full auto wherever I can, praying that the recoil will hit them in the head. And what do you know, it did! Wow! So I thought: hey that was lucky! Let's put it in a movie!" type clips.

Maybe I'm being too harsh. But I spent 20 damn minutes downloading those two movies. I expected at least one clip to make me sit up and go "Whoah, that rocked." Maybe next time.

i tried to get the movies from the links provided here and was getting a whopping 3kb/s so i headed over to demohq and got a much more appropriate 350kb/s

                    yay! college connection yay!

                    moral of the story

                    demohq = faster

                    use it

Too many movies out there.... anybody could make a movie of good kills if the demo'ed all their games and edited all the good/lucky shots they got into a movie and added some techno music. Woohoo!! Then that person could get a csnation news post also!

                            Hey!

I know that the movie is recorded at public servers, and that it shows only the delightfull fragging of n00bs, but hey! The persons behind the weapons are also n00bs (including myself), so dont take it too seriosly..

That is kinda the point with the movie, to show that low skilled players can make their own cs movies.. If you downloaded it and think that it sucks, im sorry, but plz, show some respect =)

btw, the next movie will be recorded in cw's..

Yeah, Slizer, I didn't mean any offense by my comments. I'm sure that you guys are good players, despite what you say . And kudos for making the movie. I just didn't think that a whole lot of the footage in there was "movie-worthy". Like the guys are saying, there have been an awful lot of movies coming out lately, so people (I think) want to see something that they haven't seen before. Multi-kill grenades. Insta-headshots in quick succession. Sneaking up on a guy whose back is to you and knifing him. Getting a headshot on a guy leaping at you from above. And the often-tried MultiKill (three/four/more) kills in rapid succession never fail to please, as long as it doesn't look like you stumbled into it too much.

So don't be deterred from making movies. But like anybody in Hollywood, consider what your audience wants to see or grow really thick skin . Because the download time is the price of admission, and you don't want them clamoring for their money back .
