Hey, this looks fun. Wish I had a computer in working order that could play CS... I'd jump on this with a friend

Well take a look @ their page, if it had much more I might be able to find something. It's lacking a little :P

I've always found 2v2 a bit lame.. I consider CS a teamgame, and 2 players is hardly a team in my eyes, not to mention that most maps are not made for such small numbers.. 5v5 is the standard in matchplay and way to go for me..

What, is fy_iceworld the official map of the 2vs2 tourney? Or perhaps they add in cs_bloodstrike and cs_prospeedball. I guess 2vs2 fills the niche for players who always wanted to play deathmatch, instead of a team goal-oriented game. It's not the tourney for me, though.

You're 56k anyway, so what would you consider an Online tournament for your pleasure?

There can be teamplay without objectives. CS pubs have objectives without teamplay, so i don't see why the inverse can't be true.

In recent times, one of the best teamplay experiences i've had with CS was 2v2 and 3v3 on de_predator, with no plantings allowed. A lot of this has to do with the map itself , since it gives you more options than just flat Q3DM (de_predator, to its credit, lived up to its name under these circumstances). fy_iceworld, on the other hand, doesn't. There is no real option for teamplay, since both it and speedball just say "Start at either side, go towards the middle, and find out who can aim quicker/get the luckiest shot despite having the worst aim". Infact, due to the layouts of both iceworld and speedball do everything to ensure that the deciding factors are FPS and twitch aim. Everything to ensure that the prime qualities of CS are blatantly ignored.

The point? Team uW are a bunch of fuckheads, and so are the makers of those 2 maps.

You have now conquered a tactic super-imposed upon on masses. For this I give you the highest award.

if league maps didn't have objectives whoever won the pistol round could just camp every remaining round.
