3D & neRve Matches Rescheduled

On the CAL site, it said that the hltv ips would be posted the following thursday (this was posted last week sometime on the CAL site). They might not have posted hltv's because of AOWC's pulled support, which was about that time.

I like this knife, especially with the 1.6 anims. This is a great knife replacement that is surely worth it :)

Good looking model and skin. But I tried both anims and both look bad on it. They both dont seem to hold the knife enough for me.

I tried this one in game, and sadly am not satisfied.



I think one problem this replacement has is the model. The handle is long, but the blade is relatively short, and even in game the blade only looks about half the size that the handle is. This replacement is supposed to look like a switchblade, so the blade should be just a little smaller than the handle. It's just something small that bugs me.



The skin is good, I really liked the attention that was payed to the handle. The skin for the blade is decent, it isn't anything amazing. Unfortunately for this replacement, Ive seen better blade skins.



I think custom animations would be better for this replacement, as the default ones don't fit right. It doesn't even look like you're holding the knife in game. I think that the knife model on the default CS 1.6 should be held a little higher. That, in my opinion, would make the weapon look like it's being held a little bit more natural. Luckily, it can easily be done in Milkshape. The CZ animations are great, I like them a lot. The only problem I noticed on them is that they tried to hack the CS 1.6 arm skin onto the CZ arms, and it didn't work, and it is ugly in game. If the other V models in this replacement were on CS 1.6 CZ arms, I wouldn't complain because it's easy to import the default CZ arm texture onto it, but the rest of the models are on regular CS 1.6 arms.



Another small bug I found was on the shield. It looks like they forgot to flip the shield model, because it's being held in the wrong hand.



I think if at the most this replacement is decent. I didn't really enjoy using it, and I hate to say this to any replacement, but prefer the default model instead of this.

The blade is so much shorter than the handle that it bugs me.. Its about half the size of the handle which it really shouldn't be like.. And if you use it with the sheild it appears in the wrong hand.. So overall i give it a 8.

1.6 anims are teh grandma, who holds a knife lik that, really.... N e how, this is good replacement, and yes the screen cap gives it no justice, try this out if u want something nice and compact lookin

I like it a lot. Most of my bias comes from me owning the same knife. I'm holding it right now, actually, and playing silly gangster knifing games on my mousepad. I'm so silly!



Anyways, a good model and a good skin. Things could be changed, however...mostly how the knife is positioned in the hand. And for the record, it's called the Applegate-Fairbairn Black Combat/Covert Folder, made by Gerber. I have the Covert, the 3/4 size version.

Its looks nice. But the only skins I use are the skins with CZ hands. Those hands look so beatiful. lol Does ne one think theres a way to get the CS:S Hands on Models? Cuz those hands own.

the problem is the fact taht he's holding the bottom of the handle... not anywhere near where the finger grooves are carved into it.
