Replacements do afect your gameplay as a good percentage is about thow the game feels and how the game flows. Search your feelings and you know this to be true. If your feelings are tuned to the originals, then bully for you. I had a beautiful set up beore a reinstall, andhaev never quite got the balance back perfectly. Id prefer these packs to be customizable once dled, so they could be broken down to sprite types, weapons, sounds and players. Then we could take the best of what ya find.. Haveing said that a couple of the skins in here on display loked kind of cool, Ive been thinking baout reinstallin cos I have warped my config beyond recognition and am not sure how to back it up(Ah you see, the pain of no back up, and learning new commands that arent even in the orig..)

config saved halelujah! Checked out both packs the donkey one asnt bad, and some of the sprites were a pleasant change, Not to fond of the oicw as a aug tho, and there is somehting wqrong witht he zoomed crosshairs for sniper rifels and aug are very very wrong, aimin way off target.:< not happy at all about that! 6/10 for donkey less for the puf paf whatever the other one was..(it has better sprites!)

and replacements aren't always dumb they're just more polished (reskins are a nice touch that doesnt make a gun a laser-sighted scoped sniper machine gun with integrated grenade launcher for a glock model)
Don't forget the twin barrels, triple-stacked extended see-through clips, a huge side mounted flashlight, twin straps, a shell rack, bipod, and built-in silencer, with the stock converted to be collapseable and left undeployed.

I'm surprised I haven't seen that one... yet.

And of course, the reload animation features the arm extending through the side of the gun, flipping switches that aren't there, then suddenly yanking out and replacing the clip pack in a tenth of a second, followed by pulling a charging handle that's actually on the other side of the gun.

But yeah, I think many of us with faster computers lean toward hi-poly replacements of the original models that look basically the same, just a bit sharper and clearer and more detailed. The default models were great in their time, but it's nice to give CS a minor graphical update to keep it feeling a little more fresh.
