    Two New CGNation Interviews

Snypa at Canadian Gaming Nation got the scoop recently with two new WCG-related interviews for your reading pleasure. The first interview is with nrv|dixon, who was on silver medal winning Team Canada. An excerpt:
CGNation|Snypa|2-[WCGC] How was the venue & atmosphere there, it must've been amazing, like how hype was it ?

nrv|dixon well as soon as we got into the city on our bus we noticed things like street billboards, banners, and flags with WCG 2002 !!! on them and we were like wtf wow
The second interview is with World Cyber Games Canada director Sam Kim. He talks to Snypa about WCGC plans, and the unfortunate incident earlier this year when the Canada WCG qualifiers were cancelled and it almost looked like Canada wouldn't have a WCG team.
[CGNation]-Snypa|2: 2, So what are you exactly heading for this years WCG Canada event ?

Saki[WCGC]: Well this year all I want to do is send our Canadian players to Korea at the World Cyber Games Grand Final. Because of the lack of sponsors etc... I was not able to confirm the venue at the MTCC (Metro Toronto Convention Center), so we had to change our plans to the alpha beta plan which was the Internet Cafes (NetEffect Yonge and Isabella, Webfusion Younge & Bloor. Once again I would like to appologize to all the gamers in Canada for this because I know alot of them was not able to show up to this years WCG Canada 2002 event because there were no reginal qualifiers.
Good interviews for Canadians and non-Canadians alike. Read up on them here for nrv|dixon and here for Sam Kim.

                  Nice try but unfortunatly flawed.

The skin is a little bit light for my liking, but with a model this good I think I can afford five minutes in Photoshop correcting that. There are one or two very slight black lines where the skin doesn't quite fill the mesh, but it's literally just a pixel off and it's only in a few places, so that doesn't really matter. I really don't like the arm skins at all (brown gloves? wtf?), but they're not hard to change either.

The modelling is close to being perfect, though the silencer looks odd to me, it looks like it's not on straight with the gun when you look at it in-game. Also MP-7's look better as they are IMO. I'm also not a fan of the RIS handle-ish thing, but I guess it's needed for the animations.

Speaking of which... oh dear. The animations are the biggest flaw in this model. Firstly, it's being held by a RIS handle. Look at the render above, with the handle collapsed. Doesn't it look nicer? Someone needs to make some good machine-pistol style animations that don't include a handle of some form at the front. It looks stupid on such small weapons. Speaking of size, if only this had been put on at leats the default TMP animations, the model could have actually been a bit bigger... shame. Overall the animations aren't bad exactly, they're just... not great either.

Near-perfect model, near-perfect skin, average animations, fairly good overall. I'm hacking off the silencer and converting it to MP5 as we speak.

Give it a go, you might like it. It's is slightly flawed but it's still worth a look.

The MP7 is a tiny gun in real life.

Ok, nice model but ... the hands and arms are extremely ugly. There is a lot of clipping in the animations, in the shooting animation the finger on the grip does straight through and back... During the reload the clip goes through right hand. the origins should show off the side of the gun, because in my oppinion that is the best looking part. The arm looks like a square... so I'll give it a 7. Also, the silencer looks really nice, but in the ingame view it is horrible because of the origins.

                      Good model tho >)

Beautiful, small feeling, but like said, it is a small gun MP7 PDW stands for Personal Defense Weapon, means it has to be easily concealed...

replaces the MP5K more or less hehe

Very nice, but one im not going to use (no cz arms)

It'd be awesome if they had Rob O CZ arms on this... and without a silencer

This is a beautiful model solely because it's different. It fires a 4.8x30mm cartridge which delivers about 300ftlbs, which is about half of .45ACP.

However, while the .45 travels at a slow 700 or so fps the 4.8 goes at a speed of 2000+fps. Hence it's extremely good against armor considering the 24grain projectile. I love this gun, and the modeling/skinning is pretty damn good!
