The FN isn't a crap pistol at all, and I'm glad the riot shield stops rifle fire. I hope this doesn't turn into another crazy fiasco like when they changed the amount of damage the AWP inflicts.

I think the point most of you are missing, is the teamwork involved with the riot shield. The only way it can be truly effective (except for turtleing tactics), is working together with other people on your team, and the only way to bring down an effective riot shield team would be to work as a team.I would really like to see someone who is cowering behind a riot shield with an awp win as he is being advanced on by 2 or more guys with aks/sigs and some awpers for cover.

Last time i checked a riot shield was just that for RIOTS not stopping 7.62 bullets.ugh, but then again it looks like to use the shield you need to walk, and that it wont cover your whole front, so maybe the awpers will have to shoot you in the foot to get ya..

This sounds really good imho.. Having the shield block all riflefire will make CS a bit more tactical again.. We will have to see in the beta test of CS 1.6 how things work out, but from what I read I like it..

"if one does buy the riot shield, will they have to use the five-seven that is packaged in with it or can they trash it for another pistol yet still keep the shield?"

I dident mean that the awper would have the shield, i ment that he would be hideing behind someone who did. If my whole post was about teamwork, why would i talk about one person useing the shield alone?

uh.. no one used? i used that awesome gun for a long while. 5-7 owns too, and i'm glad they are making it only gun w/ riot shield. that forces other people to see how much that gun roxors people's boxors.



i'm really looking forward to the galil tho.. tired of guns that newbs can be "awesome" with just by newbie spraying (cough colt cough).. hopefully the famas won't be that way but im not counting on it :/

What I want to know more than anything in the world about 1.6 is: I know the shield and fiveseven are paired, but can you drop the fiveseven and buy a usp or deagle and have that paired with the shield. And also, will the shield be like equipement, where when you die it's gone, or will others be able to pick it up when you die?

and the key to riot shield is teamwork, duh, in one of the cs:cz previews, u dont see 1 charging riot shielder, u see like 2 shielders i think and 2 attackers behind i think
