I found just about everything he said that was pertaining(pretaining?) to mouse sensitivity and acceleration was real helpful. Since I read this guide I have been doing alot better at both short and long range conflicts and I recommended to everyone in my clan. Pass on my thanks to the nice chap who took his time to make the guide I've been searching the web for since I started playing cs.

I really enjoyed this aiming for idiots guide. Now that I know its better when you hit them in the head, maybe I'll stop aiming at their legs? Ok, what a joke. I read all three parts of this guide, and I found almost nothing, if anything helpful at all. The only thing this guide acomplished was making me feel guilty for using a 5.5 sensitivity.Comment

rofl. I've tried putting it lower, but it only gets me killed, I started noticing that when a person ran by, my cross hair would follow him, behind him, then I got to grips with reality and put my sensitivity back up and decided that whatever works for me the best is best.
Low sensitivity sucks my chocolate salty balls.Comment

First of all, your sensitivities are pointless to tell everyone just because everyone's window sensitivity aren't the same. 2 people can have 3 sensitivity but their window sensitivity can be different. So they are different. A person can have a high sensitivity in windows and have a 3 sensitvity in cs and it'd still probably be fast as hell. 2nd of all. I don't know why he spent that long writing up an article on aiming that is 3 pages. I'm not trying to say it sucked or anything like that. But he could've saved some serious time by getting to the point. It just seems like he went in a big arc to get to the point when he could've just gone straight. Most of this article is things that most people know, even noobies. For the sensitivity, most newer people use high sensitivity like the article stated and I think that was one of the good things mentioned in the article, but everything else seemed repetitious and long. As the saying goes.. quality over quantity.
I still liked it, and glad someone took their time to try to help beginners out a bit, but if you want the article to be effective, try to get to the point or the readers will be bored and not read it. That's just my 2 cents. This isn't a flame post, just an opinion. Not in anyways I'm trying to flame DiGi.Comment

Kerosine99 was bang on; the expression in the article was poor and therefore diluted any useful content. Even if DiGiTracker is French there are enough english speakers over there to help him out. It seems to be a real problem with "strategy" articles and "guides" for CS posted on the net that they often have nothing really useful to say, sometimes give info that is simply wrong and are painful to read. Internet writers need to take more care with there work, although the 'net being what it is, its anonymous nature seems to encourage laxity and attracts illiterate teenagers. (P.S. The spell checker is a nice touch.)Comment

The guide may be useless but it doesn't say anything wrong. His english may be bad but he really tried to do a good job. Anyone here should be used to useless information, else noone would ever read anything on the comment pages. Anyone here should be able to understand bad english, as this is practised here so often, even by native speakers. As long as sis ist ein international site, you will have to bear der terribel englisch.Comment

maybe if you actually tried some of the stuff, like not aiming at the ground when you ran around and actually tried with a low sensitivity for a while to get accustomed to it. maybe then you would actually notice how good of a guide this was, although a lot of it was useless information i sort of liked it..

i've been trying to stress the point that people who aim at the ground when they run are morons.. what do you accomplish by aiming at the ground when you run? limited view? having to move your mouse cursor up when you encounter an enemy (which, if too slow, would cause you to die a horrific death)
and by the way, another reason people disliked jumping (besides the fact that it is unrealistic) was because they were too lazy to not aim at the ground when they ran. by attempting to take out jumping, they continue to let the newbies who are just coming to the game aim at the ground and spray like idiots, making them rely on a technique that is completely based on luck (as opposed to actually learning a technique that continuously works [however unrealistic it is])
sure.. spraying works if you are some idiot who knows no better than to run around holding down the left click and waving your mouse.. nevermind fuck it all, im probably missing a bigger point of the game; to have fun.. but my fun comes from knowing that i died from a skilled player, not someone who picked up a colt and started shooting me in the feet.
i guess my problem is that i think people give a shit. now i truly understand the reason people think community is dieing (or already dead).Comment

Hahahahaa, you a riot.
Sounds like your delivering a speech for counter-strike president. "And I vow to rid the game of spraying n00bs, these will of course be replaced by bitter angry n00bs who download OGC...but at least then I will have been killed by a skilled computer program!!"
