Thorin from Gamers.nu interviewed element from GoL about Hyb's return to GoL.

GoL finished 2nd in the Nordic Cup thing run by eSports recently but didn't attend the Mindtrek CPL qualifier where most of Scandinavia's best teams were in attendance. Has there been any sponsor issues or was there another reason for GoL missing that lan?



GoL|element: Hehe no, actually, Svesdan from GoL called me up many times and really wanted us to go there. But mysse had ordered tickets to go visit his parents in Helsinki, Finland, and there was a problem for Vicon and Cozmoz with transportation from Copenhagen.

element is back in GoL after leaving EoL. GoL currently has element, Hyb, Mysse, Souledge, VicoN, and Cozmoz (6th). Interestingly... GoZie left GoL.

3D didn't adapt their strats fast enough. Rival just out smarted them round after round. Once they got the hang of rival's play style though they came back easily, but by then it was too late. If 3D wants to go anywhere at CPL they will need to work on adapting to various situations and anticipating what the other clan may/may not do better. Rival is in good shape for the CPL, with some awesome strats. Hopefully we can at least see a US vs Euro match for the finals at CPL. I'm still rooting for 3D ;0

3D really lost some steam there towards the middle to end of CAL-i, but look at their previous record leading up to that. Seems like there was quite a streak going on there for a while. Point is that they've shown they have awesome potential, but don't always live up to it.



Some of the other US teams have also shown excellent potential, as do several European clans. These things don't always go to the "best" team, but rather the team that played the best that time, in the specific situations they faced, against the specific opponents they came up against. It's routine to see Team A beat Team B, Team B beat Team C, and then have Team C come back to give Team A a thrashing. So who's the best of the three?



Anyway, looks like the winter CPL should be interesting, I know I'll be tuning in. :)

Being a noob Im prepared to be flamed over this comment, but arent Element and Heaotn the best individual players in the world? And therefore this puts SK in the driving seeat. Of the demos Ive seen only Michael Fang has ever come close to dropping my jaw as they have. Just my two penneth. Anyhoo, I see UK has no teasm to particularly speak of, and Im sure the reason is that Broadband still ahsnt taken off here as it should do. The government is behind it and has celebs and the like advertising it. But the average media, TV radio hasnt really got behind Internet Media simply becaus eit fears the new medium will take over and replace them! The solution my soldiers is simple. Each and every one of you who read this are agents, agents of the new media, prophets of the future world. Spread the world, get some sun on your ashen faces and tell people about online gaming and how good it is. I struggle in a work place of financial crusties, but Ive managed to get my forty odd year old director to have a play. He wasnt instantly addicted to cs or that poor relative of cs Tacops. (Which unfortunately I played first) but he instantaneously saw the potential and value in the games. After demostrating what he can do with ADSL, he went out and bought himself a 1mb line, sooooooooooooooo unfair!

Essentially what Im sayin is be nice people and spread the broadband word, particulalrly to mY UK bruvs out there....

how can you say the new SK sucks? Medion was probably the best player ever before he turned to DaOC. And now he is back! Heaton & Potti are extremely skilled as well, and then we have brunk who transferred from mTw.swe to SK. He is very good as well. Only person that I see as less talented in SK is Bengan from iddqd.



Second of all, it always seems to be the best team in the US that is > world. However, when it was X3 > World. NiP won. Last time when it was 3D > world, Europe took all top3. Now you are saying this again so I guess you never learn.

And best individual players is a matter of opinion. CS at CPL level is a team game. Hence, best individual player is nearly impossible to determine, except by opinion.



And gotta agree with xredebility on his choices. Medion in 1.3 > all
