Atlantic: Green Berets -over- Out of Focus :: 15-9

Pacific: Ascension -over- High-tech Performance :: 20-4

Central: Hicks with Sticks -over- Shockwave :: 15-9



Congratulations to tonight's winners! All have been moved up to CAL-invite with the exception of Out of Focus. Please excuse my lack of commentary on these posts, but these sleeping pills have hit me pretty hard. I must pass out now.

the reasonm why this game is going strong imho is this site and others like it. I am now headin towards four months of playin, but I have caught up on so much from browsing through the archives of this and other sites, tho this is the best one! There is nothing like joining a community when you have no idea what makes it tick. When u get some of these vets chatting about older issues and stuff its easy to get left out. But you can guarantee that someone will ende up providing you with a potted version of the history. sSo thanks Rx and Co for making it easy for us N00bs to get into it.

So what's that got to do with anything? I like CS, I like CS-Nation but that doesn't change the fact I think the term 'community' is a load of crap. I could understand it back in Beta1 when there were so few servers that all the CS regulars knew each other, but to say that we belong to a community just because we frequent some CS fan site is just silly to me. There's too many people playing CS in too many countries for there to be a single CS community.

What I wouldn't give for the beta community again.not that I'm some nostalgic elitist (omg bring back 5.2 it r0x0r 1.x nubs sux0r!), I just fucking hate dust2/Aztec 24/7/fo/life servers.



1.5 is great for league play though, much more balanced and better tacitly/strategically oriented, but the community is ass if I do say so myself.

At least those dust1/2 & Aztec servers are better than the old cs_Siege only 24/7 servers.
