This isn't about the new HLTV, more about the weapons in 1.6:

The rifle menu in it's VGUI form has 8 rifles in it, if you add the new 2 included in 1.6 that makes 10 (for you mathematicly inept people) which will make buying slower because you will have to use the mouse to buy instead of just pressing the number of the menu then the number of the weapon.

Depends if they have the new weapons before or after the sniper rifles. They should come before the sniper ones for continuities sake making the Sig and HK rifles 9&10 and as no one buys them anyway.. Of course they might put them as the last 2 so no-one gets pissed off at the weapons being rearranged.

Personally, I'm hoping they completely rearrange the weapon buying section. I'm not sure where the shield is currently scheduled to fit, but it doesn't seem like it should be with the equipment (as it's filling a primary slot).



So, perhaps we'll get lucky, and they'll redesign the whole menu to make it more logically organized with the addition of more assault rifles, separating them from the sniper rifles. Or who knows, maybe they'll make the terrorist and counter terrorist buy menus different with the matching team weapons occupying the same number and such. (ie, CT's wouldn't see the AK, Galil, and G3SG1, and T's wouldn't see the FAMAS, M4A1, or SG550) That'd require quite a bit of redesigning of the way the menus work now, though, so I don't expect it.



When you think about it though, they can't just stuff them in the last two spots, because you need the cancel option. Of course everyone will have to re-script or download a new version of their autobuy scripts. :) I've already got a spot on my keyboard reserved for my FAMAS/Galil buy key.



Well, I'm debating between having my (M4/AK) key and (FAMAS/Galil) key, or a (FAMAS/AK) and (M4/Galil) key. The first seems more normal, as I'm used to AK and M4 on the same key, but it seems more logical to put the more expensive weapons together, so I'll probably end up with the second grouping, assuming that the FAMAS and Galil end up being useful guns.
