I decided to pick up some games I've been wanting to play for a while but never had the time to play, namely Return to castle wolfenstien and MOHAA. After waiting 3 weeks for amazon to deliver, my shiny cellophane dvd boxed entertainment arrived and 2 days later i've completed both, which sucks a little I guess, but there's always the mp to have a go at.
RTCW is fucking cool. I'm a sucker for WW2 (hence buying two ww2 games) and the added sci-fi/secret military base plot really struck a chord. I recall seeing it ages ago at Quakecon 2000 and thinking just how amazing it looked, but it seemed a little dated when I played it -
shows how much time flies. It's still a kick ass game, awesome level design throughout.
MOHAA has some issues, those asshole dogs can take sherman to the face before going down and I hate being sniped without knowing roughly where the shot came from. On the plus side, the omaha beach level is probably my most favorite ww2 map in any video game, I cranked my speakers up nice an loud.
I'm gonna be announcing something here soon, map related, so watch this space.
