    Post-Turkey Day Newsbits

Ok. Since I have absolutely NO idea if the site is stable right now, I'm gonna go through some submitted news in case it goes down again. Here goes:
    • twistedportal.com has reopened with a new layout and new forums. in their counter-strike section, they have an interview with the family god in which he talks about militia2 and his upcoming project. check it out.

    • there are three new hlit versions out to let all your irc buddies know where you're playing. they fix many bugs relative to the previous versions, and the download can be found here.

    • fernando "sanjuro" rizo over at halflife.org has posted an interesting article about how the new riot shield in the upcoming cs 1.6 will affect the balance of the game. check out the article here.

    • the united gaming league has opened up registration for season 2. they have fixed a number of issues players expressed in season 1 and are ready for your clan to sign up. click here to go to their page and sign up.
Ok. I'm praying this posts and the site doesn't crash. That would suck. I spend 5 whole minutes on this and I don't want it lost.

Yup the site is up! This would make 3 comments.

And don't we already know how the riot shield will affect gameplay yet?

I wanna fucking ass rape the person who wrote that artical about 1.6 and the shield. He is a fucking idiot. He probably started playing cs is like 1.1 or 1.3 and thinks he knows everything. He doesn't have a clue. He is making it sound like the shield is going to be a massive blow to counter-strike. He makes it sound like other other changes to the game: the new jumping, the new "fixed" hitboxes, pistol inacuracy, ect have all been trival. I sure hope he is wrong. I am looking forward to 1.6 and it's shield. But, even if the shield turns out to be a bad, guess what, just like they new hitboxes, the new jumping, the new everything that everyone bitched about so much, we will all get used to it (or quit cs all together). He needs to stop bitching and realize that valve / gearbox isn't his personal slave making the FPS that perfectly fits his needs. They are doing what they think is best and trying to make a great game better, give them some credit.

CAL-M down there Monkey :P Wow that was corny. And if you think about it, almost every change CS has had over the past two years has affected the game in some way. I mean you don't exactly play the same way you play BETA 7.0 the way you play 1.5. And he does have a point with his article... IF the riot shield is balanced incorrectly, it will tip the balance of the game (or lack thereof ::cough::allmapsinCS::cough::)

PS: I can't wait to get my fUnc pad and have ULTIMATE CONTROL!!! MUHAHAHAHA!! Anyway, Happy-Post Thanksgiving.

If what Spoonman says about that one guy who wrote the 1.6 article, I am not even going to waste my time reading it. :) Anyways, my site is posted, cool. :) Happy Late Thanksgiving! :) And Merry Santa Day!

I'm deciding between a func pad or a steelpad. I hear fUnc is better so I think I'll get that.
