I'm giving up on trying to fix this through code and am approaching GameSpy about our stability problems. When we get everything back up and running we'll have a new mailbag, a calendar for the month of December by Threeboy, and a new hardware review. I don't want to invest time in putting these up now when most of you won't be able to see them because of an overloaded database server.



The site has been a tad bit more stable since I started adding caching (see here), but we used to have almost no database downtime so we still have a long way to go to, uh, get to how we were in the past right now.



Once again I'm very sorry. I wish I could fix this.

i played some halo and boy did it suck. console shooters are no match because of the shitified controllers. yuh... i played some TFC on Well as a spy because without csnation i forgot what counter strike was and i went back to throwing nades at unsuspecting engies and snipers and then going and hiding in their attic then getting shot by the hwgay. and without anything good to call the hwgay i went back to using the term gay as an insult. i feel sad.

...after working on it quite extensively, and making things a lot better than they were. Perhaps we should take our lynch mob and hunt down Ronin, hang him, burn his site, rape and pillage anything nearby, and return to happy days of stable queries. Not that I dislike his site -- I actually love it. But CSN is just... better. :)



Maybe I should stop typing what the voices tell me.



While the idea of hanging you may be great, your post doesn't say you gave up... just that you are using different means to try to achieve the objective. Besides, how the hell would we find any rope that could support the full weight of rizzuh?!? Hell, the tree would sooner fall over than we'd accomplish that.



No... I'm imagining something more Return of the Jedi'ish, hopefully with a scantilly clad woman wrapping a thick chain around your monstrosity of a neck... yes...
