Team Rival CPL Fund

Yet another team is asking for funds to contribute to the cause of getting to the Winter CPL. Team Rival is currently asking for donations via paypal.

We just got back from the CPL Qualifier in Tempe, AZ; and unfortunately we have placed 2nd, and with CPL just around the corner, we are asking the community and anyone who wishes to support us to help us by making a donation via Paypal.



Any and all help is appreciated! With CPL airfare at $500 a person ($2500 for a team of 5) you can imagine how difficult it can be during this time of the year. Thanks again to all of those that continue to support us without falter.



A big thanks goes to Rivalution Network Centers for paying for our whole trip, but any and all donation money will be put to good use.

Maybe they should check out Cheaptickets.com or Travelocity since $500 seems a little high. Thanks N1ghtSt@lker.

uhh, I don't get it. WHy is it 2500 for rival to go and only 2000 for others? So why are they asking for money if rivalution is paying for it? Does Bill Brasky need more beer money or something?

I think maybe he means that Rivalution payed for airfare/travel expenses, and they need donations for other expenses on the trip. Which, as you mentioned, may include beer. Although I have no idea.

Does anyone work a real job anymore? Also isnt there a Cash prize to the winner of the CPL? So if I donate my money will they share the prize :)

as gibs0n pointed out. the extra cash should be really sent to the needy this holiday season, not Counter-strike players. If your going to send money out to anyone, send it to those in need first, than to the CS players.



I would like to see Rival and zEx at the CPL, but from a moral stand point its only right to give to the needy first

Yeah, this is really just an irresponsible thing for them to ask for several reasons, including the one above. This is basically Rival trying to mooch off people while producing nothing of value in return.

This is kinda off the subject but if CSN had a forum id do it there.. i think Nightstalker should be a news poster for CSN. hes full of news and by this point I think he is legit. My 2 cents!
