Has Valve been producing any non-mod-related games lately? I think not (I could be wrong) and it seems a little like they "outsourced" their "innovative dept." to the mod scene. The modders innovate, Valve refines. ?

Should have included Stragety game.
I'd love to have workers, maybe called 'Hostages' and have them build a spawn points, in which I can spawn little CT units with 100/100 health and 15 attack, and then spawn differerent kinds with different weapons, and then rush the Bombsite and build a second base in it before the terrorists can.
Watch out for Helecopter units!Comment

Why play any when you can play the 'Super "l33t" CS Strategy Game 64'
...or kill himself rather than play Red Alert.
Why play Red Alert when Starcraft was awesome? Total Annihilation was awesome. Warcraft III is awesome.
Where the units are: Campers, Hackers, Awpers and Team Killers.
Available Upgrades: Invisiblity for Campers and Awpers, New Aimscripts for Hackers, and the ability to plant the bomb anywhere with a 3 second detonation for Team Killers!
Actually, that makes me think. CS needs suicide bombers for terrorists
80 damage to all surounding units, friendly for foe, and any deaths caused by it aren't counted as a kill but as a death but suicide or worldspawn.
I mean that couldn't possibly be abused or ruin the game in any way, right? Right?

so u thought it was cool right ^^
You do realize you get better over time with your aim anyways right? Other than that I really like your idea and the fact that it's horrible.
but hey i meant the characters it would make them faster harder better stronger!
so less work is from the player! well when he earns it of courseComment

Suicide belt. Idea was originally planned for CS:CZ, before Gearbox (and then later Ritual) took it over and came up with new ideas.
Hitman 2. I loved the original Hitman game, though I had a few frustrations with control problems and no saving. The concept was fantastic though, and while I haven't gotten to try the full game of Hitman 2 yet, from the demo it seemed to have resolved those issues, and added some excellent new features. As such, I expect it to be great, when I save up enough money to pick it up. :)
As far as the experience points idea, I think it would work really well in a setting such as CS:CZ, where having yourself be a superplayer wouldn't have to make things horribly unfair for other humans.
I also don't understand how the "total freedom" style would work with the CS theme. I think it's more the aspect of people saying "GTA3 is cool, and CS is cool, so let's put them together!" without really contemplating the cohesiveness of the idea. My vote has to go to either a spy style or a 3rd person game.Comment

Don't forget the M79, the landmines, or the "Universal Toolkit." :)
I do regret that the Pancor Jackhammer idea was killed, though. :-/ The suicide belt, while funny, probably would have helped turn a good fight into an objectiveless death fest, so it's probably better left out (of multi). Wouldn't mind seeing it in CZ though.
Of course... I'd also like to see civilians in CZ, and I doubt it'll happen.Comment
