It is 3AM CST and GameSpy has re-linked their preview to CS: Condition Zero. As previously noted, Gearbox has completed its contribution to Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and Ritual will be running the day-to-day development responsibilities from here through launch. Some of the weapons previously announced are no longer added.
There are a number of new items being added to the single-player game to fill gameplay options and narrative -- a blowtorch, a camera, and radio-controlled bombs, to name three. On the multiplayer side, we will continue to develop and release new weapons to the community and include those in all CS retail offerings. For CZ, that list is still being finalized. In terms of previously-announced items going away, the gas grenade and Molotov are not currently scheduled for an appearance in either the single-player or multiplayer game, and it's looking as though the LAW will be single-player only. Here is complete list of all the new (or old depending on how you look at it) screenshots. Personally, I can't wait for the new GUI coming with 1.6. I am also excited about the new linearity coming with CS: CZ.
