I'd have to disagree with both Brock and Paladin. CS would remain popular without esports, though the profesional leagues perhaps interest a few additional players with dreams of competing.



However, it's foolish to say that esports doesn't belong on CSN. It's Counter-Strike Nation, not CNN, and so things that qualify for news on this site aren't the same things as you'd see on another news site. And "front page" news? As if we have other pages of news, sheesh.



As always, it comes down to an issue of, if you don't care about esports, then block them in your preferences. The rest of us tire of your pathetic bitching.

ok now that I sound like a total idiot, I would like to point out that there is an option to turn off the news about those nerdy people that go play with their internet friends, or esports.

I'd say the bake sale would be a good idea except for one problem, all that CS time has left them as n00bs in the kitchen. They'll have to haxor the oven.



I'd say Pro play only fuels a small amount of people interested in CS. I play on a server where only about 1 in 10 are active in CAl, OGL, or whatever league they could get into. Most of those people are in it for the game, the fun, and the community. This is the way it should be.
