    Christmas Map Pack

    I LOVE 56K!!!!!

Ok, now that you've stopped laughing, onto some news. cstrike.de has posted a winter themed map pack for your playing pleasure. They've complied 15 maps in an easy to use installer, and some even have a Christmas theme. This is perfect for our snow-bound friends in the Northeast, or our friend in places where snow is just a rumor. Take a look at them here.

I love 56k too. :) Pity snow is usually just something that comes down long enough to make some ice and cause car accidents among our horrible driving population, instead of actually being notable amounts or fun. Okay, so it mostly just rains a lot here in Oregon. :)

Interesting theme all the same, I guess. Some bring back memories, though I didn't recognize most, and remember a few others that it seems should have made it in.

Feel lucky, Texas hasn't recieved snow since 96, and it was only about 10 flakes in the whole state.

                    Don't you mean "compiled"?

Ah, I love being one of DrMagus' "snow-bound friends in the Northeast". These maps look like loads of fun. We'll be running this map pack on the CS Radio server for all of Christmas Eve and Day. Should be lots of fun...

And, rizzuh, add those snowflakes to CSN now! It would be nice to be able to amuse myself with falling snowflakes while watching database error messages stream down my browser's window

Too bad our server probably won't play these fun looking maps. Suppose I could try and talk to the admin since we've been playing some different maps from the usual.>_<

Look great though and if there's no server I can find playing them I'll just have to use POD Bots, one of their advantages.

See, where I live, we rarely (if at all) get any snow. And on the rare occasions it DOES snow, it never settles. It's like someone up there is dangling a carrot infront of my face, then snatching it back to feed his rabbits right at the last.

                            Possibly.

Still, its nice to imagine a Christmas when it does snow. It's only been... 10 years? More? I'll try these out anyway, and might catch you on the CSR Server - If i'm able to move from my chair for all the turkey, and am able to successfully negotiate my way around the sleeping relatives, naturally :)
