Today's big news day continues to flow, with more good news coming from the CPL tournament being held in Dallas (scroll down for CPL coverage) in the form of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero media being released over at ShackNews. Steve and Co. have firstly posted two new screenshots that look a lot less crappy than the previous offerings, but still a little rough. Along with that, FileShack is hosting a trailer filled with some clips. This is all early work and in some ways it's not very fulfilling, but it goes give us an idea that this game will be more like Half-Life and less like Tony Hawk.



Is that good or bad? Who knows, but by showcasing early work I feel that Ritual is opening themselves up to criticism where it isn't deserved. We've gotten enough hype for this game; hopefully after the CPL they'll go into sleep mode. After giving CS-Nation an interview.

because u know if ure good at cs

it will be a breeze to beat

if u can take on regular podbots at 100 and take out 10 of them by ureself

I sincerely hope that the AI in condition zero will be a LOT better then pod bots. I cant think of a single person who would buy a p90, and hold down the trigger while aiming for a head shot. Also, lets wait till we see the movie, before we start criticizing CZ.

anyway it's SP experience looks a lot better than how it was with in the gearbox movies, I just like this

quite true i dont, but that is what gamespy were lead to believe at least, so i'm willing to believe it

So, there won't be the usual loadouts at the start of each mission -- each mission will have its own specific loadout of equipment and weapons.

I think that sniper rifle might be a new AWP model. Either that or a gun we aren't aware of.



The muzzleflashes did look a little corky. I hope that's fixed because they look a teed like they were made by some no-name developer like Ritual or something.

If you pause the movie, it becomes obvious that the sniper rifle is an awp.



And yeah, we better fix thouse flashes befoere someone thinks ritual made the game.

well....looks like Ritual messed CZ up quite a bit.... Players models look ugleh, and the faces are all the same, unlike what was oringinally planned. Also, why are they using HL models, that crusty mp5 don't belong in cs. Also, the AI looks to be horrid..the movement they used looked identical to single player HL AI, and thats just down right horrible.... That "awp, or wahtever it is" looks gayz0r. Rizzuh, can I be your dad?
