OK...CZ IS single-player. Wow you really keep on top of things.

For a little overview: The current CS players will be able to play with CZ players. So they can't really change the multiplayer all the much can they (new maps & guns, really).

BTW, if I'm the one who's not on top of things, then I'll Hitman 2 any of your faces.

Are you totally retarded? Ritual is working mainly on single player gaming. Of course they're not going to talk much about multiplayer, because the only thing that'll be new is the weapons. If they posted an interview about that I'm sure you'd be whining that you'd heard it all too.

I'm not talking to you in this post drage.. just wanted to clear that up. Yours is pretty funny though.

As long as the multiplayer doesn't change drastically then I'll be okay with it. The model changes for the weapons might piss me off though.

^ I think you're right. They should focus on fixing the bugs (flashbangs should flash every time) in 1.6 and not change anything about the gameplay, since people still enjoy it the way it is. They can do anything they want to CZ, since it's not coming out any soon anyway.

The problem is that if they keep the CS core the same, that means they also keep everything that is wrong with it. CS isn't coming out of this slump if nothing is done to fix what is already broken.

hmm i was hoping that they were going to say "We are really working on the AI and its going to be so cool you will all pee yourselves after playing against it" Oh well, looks like we will be playing against some cool looking HL grunts that roll down stairs after we shoot them

So they're keeping the new weapons already shown?

It sounds like a Gearbox interview that was search & replaced. Anyone for Checkers?

Interview, as people have said, doesn't really mention anything new.

Oh, and PK0rZ, CZ is supposed be, as people have said, a single player game, so don't b*tch.

I hope they bring back those spasms that the pre v1 models had when they would get hit.
i don't, I always thought they were dead when they did that and I just left, then got shot.

That also means they keep everything that makes it the most played game in the world.

I will not buy CZ. When I started playing CS a little over two years ago it was because the other people were real and it was an enjoyale game. I now have a cable modem. Not only do I not need a single player version I think it is going against everything CS "used to be". I'm not saying it shouldn't be made, just that I won't be buying it. Frankly, they could delay it for another year and I wouldn't care.

As for Valve and TF2 however...

So none of the Gearbox maps created by narby, davej and others will be included now?.....gee thats a shame

I guess gearbox paid for them and didnt want to give them up to valve/ritual *shrug*
                            Wrong.

Its been said in at least one interview that most (not all) of the multiplayer maps made by the "community folk" will be included in one form or the other.

The level designers have been sculpting some truly intriguing levels, full of action and interesting puzzles.

Ritual's next project: Counter-Strike: The Jigsaw Puzzle

The guy that got interviewed sounded more like a marketing executive than a designer. He seemed to just say vague things. And he didn't even answer some questions directly. The last question is an example of that.

Overall I'm not satisfied with that interview...nothing new.
