Steam is a content delivery/download system. It includes automatic updating. If CS is updated, the server will download a new version from VALVe and restart.

It's going to force-feed you files required to play the mods YOU CHOOSE. Don't like DMC or TMC? Don't have to get them just to update your CS! What a world eh!?

VGUI 2.0/HL1.1.1.1 fixes the alt-tab = no sound bug. Finally.

The new menu system is going to be awesome from what i can tell. Sure, it'll irritate the hell out of the nostalgia freaks, but come on - The menu system now, frankly, sucks.



Vaguely interesting point about Radient being used, although thats no suprise given Ritual's Q3 past. WC editing will likely still be possible, since no major engine/file format changes are taking place.

Ahh, soon I can finally stop playing in windowed mode to avoid that. This has been, and continues to be the biggest thing in CS1.6 that I'm looking forward to. New guns, great, fine, that's nice... just make sure you fix that sound glitch! :)

I'd rather they fix the bug whereby if you alt-tab out and back-in, you're left with a stupid windows mouse pointer in the way. That might be an Nvidia driver issue, but i'll blame HL for the fun of it.

i dont like the way you feel detached from the player in CS:CZ, it feels more like medal of honour. That is what made CS so good, they way you are right in touch with the player movements.

those screens are only of the "deleted scenes" it appears... not the actual game... as no one seems to take screens of the actual game, only the "deleted scenes".. that sentence was like a palandrome.
