Heeeey, he never makes jackass remarks on other websites. And mailbags are funny when its on the CPL and people can't name 3 CPL teams and the divisions of CAL.

The good:

Modelling is great. This model is one of the better ones. Same with the skin... great skin (not the arms though, but that's another issue.)



The bad:

The animations aren't that great. The draw looks cool but is kinda fast. Same with the shoot animations, they look too fast to be real, but the reload is slow and painful. Hands are 1.5, which suck. French fry fingers and horrible glove and texture. There's a bit of clipping on the reload animation, but it's not really that noticable. No shield model.



Final words: There are so many wrong things with this model, but the great modelling itself and the skin take away some of that. If you never use shield and don't mind the animations/arms, then use this because the gun itself is great.

THE SKIN AND MODEL ARE FUCKING AMAZING. but...... -1 on arm texture for sucking bad, and -1 for the animations. I may even hack this onto different animations.

I've been using a slightly different version of this for pretty much forever and keep going back to it or one of the other various reskins this gun has had over time.... it's just brilliant.



The modelling is spot-on really. There's just nothing wrong with it except it needs to be a tiny bit bigger, but other then that it's 100% dead-on fine. 'Nuff said.



The skin here is the original for this model which I have to admit I never liked all that much (hence why I use a reskin of it), but having said that the skin isn't bad by any means. This was done back when the majority of people didn't use above 1024 res, and actually at these lower resolutions you don't notice the small imperfections at all. Really the only problem the skin has is it seems to have a somewhat brown-ish tint to it while the metal has a bluish tint to it, which feels odd. The arm skins aren't great no, but hey, we used them for the last what, four years or so, they're the most standard arms you can use, so while they may not add to the model, they don't take anything off it either.



The animations somewhat ruin this model, the draw and reload are both somewhat robotic and feel too fast, though the shoot animations are fine. I'd say they're about on-par with the default P228 animations. So like the arm skin, the animations here are neither a good nor bad thing, they simply break even. If you want to get the most out of this model though then I suggest hacking it onto different animations.



Overall it's a gorgeous model backed up by a better-then-average skin and on fairly 'alright' animations. It's pretty damn good already and has the potential to be even better if you bother to spend ten minutes editing it abit, overall the best P228 model there is at the moment.

Very nice skin and model i must say, but the arms are absolutely terrible being the 1.5 arms. The reload is lame an unsmooth.
