Public Opinion #3 - CS Central

Counter-Hack have updated their Public Opinion feat with a Q&A with 4 staff members from CS Central. Heres a clip from a question with Disk2.
    5) What do you think is the future of on-line gaming and cheating on on-line games?

Unfortunately, I see less of a focus on gameplay and more of a focus on graphics in the future of on-line gaming. That's just a trend I see. A few companies can do both very well. Blizzard Entertainment is the first example that comes to mind.

Cheating in on-line games will never be eradicated completely; however, there will also always be developers like VALVe, United Admins, and others, as well as websites like Counter Hack, to combat cheating. Hopefully the anti-cheaters will prevail

Nice dream to see cheats eradicated. Not going to happen, but nice dream all the same. I just see the cheats getting forced to the side making way for legit players, but a few will slip in to be a pain in the ass.

I'm looking forward to the release of CS1.6 (not the beta) so VALVe's faithful CS coders can get back to updating VAC. I sure wish they wouldn't inform the CS admin list everytime they update VAC, however, as many cheaters are subscribed to the same mailing lists. :-\

Regardless, good interviews, though I would have spread them out over a few more days, as to not be such a long read.

Yeah, they should have done that. Oh well :)

            Damn good job here.

First off, modelling. The model itself is fine, though I'm not too keen on the extra shells on the side (which are also squashed and aren't actually round). Also, is that a folded up RIS-type-handle-thing being used as the pump? Well regardless, I'm not liking that too much, I prefer the more traditional style of pump. Aside from that, the modelling is fine. I'd like it to be a bit longer, but it's not hard to extend a barrel half a foot more in Milkshape.

Skin is brilliant. I'm really liking the dark feel it has, with a few choice details picked out and highlighted perfectly, and I really like the ejection port/slide-y-thing. The extra shells on the side look a bit unrealistically shiny, but you barely see them anyway. I'm not liking the skin the arms have at all - I really don't get why anyone would want to have brown gloves on 'em - but that's easy enough to change too. The thing I like most about this skin is that for once it's a skin that doesn't have some stupid tint to it, that isn't under or over contrasted, it's actually been done perfectly for once.

The animations are equally as good as the rest of the package, though shoot2 looks a bit odd to me, I can't imagine pulling the shotgun away from me to pump it. However it does show off the side of the gun nicely which I like. The rest of the animations are nicely done, and they don't have weird origins or anything either which is a bonus.

All in all I really like this model. The few problems I have with it are simply personal preferences that I can easily change to suit myself. But personal preference aside, this model is damn gorgeous to look at in-game. It's like the Andrea Corr of the shotgun world. You must use this model. Now.

EDIT: Hey look, my first 10/10 score. Woo ^_^

It's pretty nice, I like the anims and the compact feel of this shotgun.

This is Serbu Super Shorty shotgun, 16 ga, only capable of containing 2+1 rounds, the pump folds down into a handle. This doesn't fit the m3 very well. A much better version of this was released on The Specialists forums with proper animations, and for a gun "sawedoff", that suits it.

i love anims and how it doesnt stick out till 2 weeks from now. but i wouldhave liked it more with the foregrip unfolded and reanimated for the grip. but this is also sweet
