    eoL Merges With e.sports united

eoLithic, the Norwegian clan that finished 8th in the Winter CPL, has joined up with the German gaming company e.sports united. eoL was upset with their placing in the CPL, especially since they were favored to take first. They blamed their weak performance on the fact that funds were low and they could not LAN before the event. By linking with e.sports united, eoLithic should be able to LAN more often and participate in more competitions, although they can not play in the same CPL tournaments as e.sport united's other clan, esu.swe. Sporting the new tag "eoL.esu", eoLithic will keep the same starting lineup and will be the official Norwegian division of e.sports united. Gotfrag posted a short interview with one of eoL's newest starters, Knoxville, or check out e.sports united's web page for all the information.[break="click for official release"]Top Euro CS gaming team Eolithic announced today a merger with e.sports united. The esu website has the official statement which looks like this:

An Official Statement Regarding a Financial & Team Merger between:

    · eoLithic

    · e.sports united

After the disappointing finish at the Intel © CPL Summer Event this year, eoLithic set about asking the fundamental questions as to how an improvement could be made, both to team finance and in turn team performance. e.sports united have shown through the years, that they possess both the financial ability and professionalism, to cater for the needs of a professional team. The dissolution of eoLithic and merge with e.sports united was a seemingly perfect solution to a somewhat unsatisfactory and unacceptable chain of results through which eoLithic has undergone during the course of the past few weeks, through no fault of the team itself but through the lack of funds to attend and practice at LAN. I have to thank everyone who made eoLithic what it was; the supporters, the web designers and the countless news posters, to name but a few. These people put their heart and soul into making eoLithic a great team to work for and be a part of, but for now the name shall rest and the team shall move on together to better things. The team eoLithic (eoL) will in future play / manage and be recognised under the name of e.sports united, using the following structure:

    Team:

    · esports.united * Damien

    · esports.united * DarK

    · esports.united * knoxville

    · esports.united * Naikon

    · esports.united * XeqtR

    Management:

    · esports.united * Styla

    Organisation:

    · esports.united * Flex

    Contact Information:

    MiRC: #esu & #eoLithic (irc.quakenet.org)

    Website: http://www.esports-united.com

Future releases to the media and press, regarding the future of the team shall be released within the near future. Any questions you may have regarding the above, can be directed towards myself (Styla) via iRC @ #esu.eoL (quakenet).

    Kindest Regards

    - esu.eoL

CS-N has never before covered a Euro clan when it wasn't an American tourney. This is definitely not sitting well.

I am really glad they posted this news. It is a big deal and will certainly have implications for tournaments with US competitors. Also, why not be interested in the European scene? If you don't like the news, just don't read it?

That debate has been covered a million freaking times, don't start it again. CSN tends to focus on American eSports, and there's a plethora of other sites that take care of the European end of things. Don't get into that again.

[Edit: I completely misunderstood part of the post, so I'm changing what I say to sound not so unintelligent.] Um, yeah, funding is always good. [Edit: Doh, that was a failure...] Perhaps something good will come out of it, only time will tell. To state the obvious.

I'm not saying I don't want to read it, I just read Sogamed/Gotfrag for euro scene and i found it surprising that euros were covered here, albeit late.

I fail to see how this will really affect anything, especially US clans. It's the same clan, which already has a CPL under their belt, meaning they really aren't in any trouble, just had one tough week in US. All that's new is they will goto more tournies.

Oh, also, now that they are part of esu, the other esu team (the one coming from ND) will not be allowed at the next CPL, or vice versa. That'll make it a little easier for everyone.

I did the hack along time ago with a differnet skin. Those I didn't do though. OMA did.

They're 'alright'. Um, that's all that can be said about them really. Models are 'alright', skins are 'alright'. But, the models are nothing new, and the skins aren't anything special, so while if these had been put out a few months ago I would have gone "OMG WOW!", now they're just a bit 'blah'.
