ClanCity Accepting Sign-Ups

After the success of DustCity, Squall over at Counter-Server Maps has begun sign-ups for ClanCity, which will again be a virtual 3D chat room replete with avatars. ClanCity, however, will focus on giving signed-up clans a room of their own within ClanCity's limits, so they can gather and discuss strats, etc.

In my opinion it was not, and seeing that this "ClanCity" is being designed in its wake, I don't think I'll be using either.

Obviously Squall thought it was enough of a success to make ClanCity. That's fine if you don't want to use it, but apparently other people are using it. Remember there's over 50,000 registered members at CS-Nation, and while most may not post in the comments, I'd venture to say a good deal of them do like to hear about this kind of thing.



BTW, I just realized the top hat I commented on in the post doesn't even appear in the thumbnail. Funny.

I'm sad to see that many pll here don't know where they are talking about, DustCity was a "succes" because it had about 20.000 visitors in its first 24H on-line. If you had visited DustCity before you placed you'r commen't you've problably red the BIG SIGN say'n it's BETA 1. Like VERY EARLY BETA, Adobe Atmosphere Player (also BETA) doesn't support hardware rendering yet, so the graphics are a bit crappy.

But give it a try, you'll love it or you'll hate it. But plzz respect the opinion of the fans.

Always amazing me how people seem to just "slag" off things without any reasons and then say afterward, its only their opinion.



Go into a pub and pick someone, come out with a comment like in the above and see what the reaction is.. see if "its only my opinion" gets you out of your hospital trip.



The point I'm trying to make is its all about the language you use, people have a way of knowing its your opinion just by the words you say, and hence will not be offended by it.



Oh.. and this is just my opinion :)

It's gonna take ages before they make the map things big enough to be called a "community." It is quite a nice idea though.
