yea i agree, this is very newb-friendly.
i agree with rze, you guys need to grow up. i, as well, have been playing for over three years and that target practice mesa never came into my mind, in fact, i've never seen someone snipe from it in the three years since i've been playing.

gg and stop acting like you're too cool to learn something.

      Question:

Can I contribute some of my own positions and tactics? I'm kind of disappointed to see positions, but not instructions on how to use them effectively (not to bash the work completely, it's good stuff, very handy to those unfamiliar with the maps, but my own favorite spots aren't mentioned D:).
You can submit strats to puffycloud.

And as you said before, the tower is suicide, apparently. I disagree on both terms. The helipad is terrific for lining up a straight shot at targets running down a confined hall, towards you, at range, with limited lateral movement. It really doesn't get much easier, aside from unmoving targets.
You seem to have completely forgotten that they have access to the roof, a room which has the helipad in view, and the another approach from your left while you're sniping from that position.

How often do you play this map?

I'm open to that as long as 1024x768 jpg files are included as well.

Submissions are great, espically if they help improve the section.

People try too hard to analyze maps. Find a corner and wait for people to come around it. Instant sniping spot.

Well, rizzuh, I play the map fairly often. After all, the terrorists cannot buy the Scout. In my experience, you tend to have other teammates who will take all the positions you have mentioned, and will also cover that alternate route. I could just as easily point out that any halfwit CT team rushes up the ladder into the tower. Again, it has risks, but then again, so does everything else.

The helipad is a really nice place to snipe. As stated in the mailbag, strafing back and forth to cover both routes works in a pinch. And remember, you needn't slaughter all of your opponents at this position, only the VIP.

best awp strategy- run around with your awp not scoped when u see some1 point it at them zoom in (if your good u should already be lined up) and shoot em... works like a charm

Yes, using the AWP as an assault weapon is the easiest way to play CS, and also the lamest.

kick@ss is displaying how hardcore he is because "he don't need no friggin' tactics." He's learned to shoot, after all.

What are you talking about? Go great a lan server. Or read titles.txt:

I can only imagine this working if you're incredibly talented with the AWP or it's a small server. You're not incredibly talented with the AWP (talented, maybe.. I'm talking about some of the clan whores who come on clownhut: they're incredibly talented/annoying). Why wouldn't the CT's work as a team? Two people coming from flanking sides, or one on the right and one from the roof, would easily kill you.

On a ten player server I could see it happening, otherwise it all depends on the CT's being idiots.

Lame or not lame, AWP works better than most guns.

Reading over these strategies, and the comments by a few certain people who I won't name (Rizzuh), it makes me wonder.. How bad do you suck?

Scout is obviously superior, of course, because you don't want your enemy do die quickly. No, that would be too easy. Instead, let's use a gun that requires TWO shots to kill, because the AWP/M is so ridiculously noob. Please think people. Try escaping from your public server world, and join a league. See how well your scout holds up there. :)

xep is right, in league world nobody gives a shit what gun you use, or if you camp or not. Only win is matter, and team work.

I occassionally use the AWP, but very rarely. Because frankly it's cheap and I don't like the way it doesn't contribute to coordinated teamwork the majority of the time it's in use. Since it generally kills in one hit, so if you're competent with it, you don't need help to kill effectively.

I don't play for frags. I don't play to win either (and I won't claim to be the greatest player cause I'm not). Yeah it's a nice bonus, but it's meaningless when you practically have a clean sweep (unless you have a hardon for numbers, I suppose). I play for fun, teamwork, and occassionally a challenge. I use anything if I'm starting to get bored because the same old goal of purchasing an assault rifle or AWP ASAP is tedious and boring to me. I love coming up with new gameplans, or tactics that suprise the enemy, instead of the same old "let me buy the AWP and sit in the obvious sniper spots because I know I'll own these guys."

                            I play CS as a game. :\

If you want a challenge, (assuming you do..) why do you play in public servers? Join a clan, get in a league, then theres a challenege depending on how good you are.
