CAL-Main news, as I felt it deserved some coverage - interested?[break="Click through!"]The verdict is in, and for CAL-Main Central's finals, The Biodegradable Heroes have victored over previously undefeated art of execution...but not how you would expect. aoX, THE team to beat given that they are undefeated, had some disputes today which left starter kaexo quitting the team. However, soon after he realized he had effectively screwed over his team and asked permission to be allowed back on, given it was only a "quick" quit. CAL proceeded to ask BiO's opinion of this, and BiO (after some choice words with admins) chose to take the forfeit win rather than play the match. Apparently, BiO wanted the same bargaining power to put one of their own clanmates back on the roster; unfortunately, CAL admins said no so BiO chose to accept a forfeit win for CAL-Main Central.
Confused? For those not in the know, CAL-Main is a lower division of CAL, right below invite, and those who win the championships or do exceptionally well in the regular season are invited to CAL-Invite. Unfortunately, due to BiO's "bad sportsmanship", there is talk that they won't be getting that fabled invite, despite making it to the finals of the Central conference. My own opinion on this matter? Kaexo was stupid in leaving the team and not thinking about the consequences; now, BiO has been put in a lose-lose situation, so they've opted to take the one way out that works best for them. I completely agree with it, although it WOULD be nice to have an exhibition match between aoX and BiO "just to see".
In other CAL-Main news, utopians and legendz are meeting in the finals of the Atlantic conference; both teams basically came out of nowhere, upsetting top CAL-Main Atlantic teams like zero Limit and zone 4. In the pacific division, Team IPX and In For Blood are meeting in the finals. Hopefully all 4 of these finely-skilled teams will find their way into invite next season.
