Hey there, we've got some real slobberknockers tonight! Click through for more![break="Click!"]For brackets, click here.
3D vs SYB - I'm obviously handing the match to 3D. Would any of you bet against them? ANYONE?
RESULT: 3D -over- SYB ::19-5::
3D apparently had their adrenaline moving tonight enough to drop SYB by 19 rounds. SYB will now leave the playoffs, with another loss on their record and a match to be remembered.
zEx vs E7 - zEx takes the cake on this, given they tied 3D recently they're a monster to contend with. zEx will most likely take this one by 18 or more rounds.
RESULT: zEx -over- E7 ::14-10::
This match was closer than I predicted, as E7 pulled out all stops in the hopes of moving forward in the playoffs. Unfortunately for echo 7, they weren't able to stop zEx.
[rs] vs TAU - Ah, the rival's face off - riot-squad vs Texas Area Untouchables. rs is coming off of a nice TANGO-Lan win where they defeated Forsaken, TAU and just about everyone else; they've also been preparing hard, so I forsee rs taking the win in this slugfest.
RESULT: [rs] -over- TAU ::14-10::
Looks like rs's lan practice paid off, as they had little trouble defeating TAU last saturday at TANGO and just a little more defeating them tonight. rs, last cal-i's season runner-ups, will now continue on into the semi-finals.
[GX] vs FirstWave - Another nice repeat from last season's playoffs, where the redhot newcomers Gamers-X dropped their first game to FirstWave, whereas [GX] had only narrowly lost to TSO before that. Now the question is - who will be taking this victory? I'm leaning towards FirstWave, given they have more than enough experience to defeat the asian dream team of Gamers-X.
RESULT: [GX] -over- FirstWave
1st~ couldn't field enough players, but they were very good sports about the loss.
