The Cyberathlete Professional League has announced the cash prizes for its upcoming Summer 2003 event. We're only half a year off, so start getting ready. Here are the cash prizes:
    • $70,000

    • $40,000

    • $25,000

    • $15,000

    • $10,000
The total purse will be $200,000. That is a lot of damn money.

Wow. That is going to be one hell of a competition. The clans are going to have to prepare fully this time around.

They announced this on Tuesday, January 14, 2003.

The $70,000 1st place prize has been known about since the end of the last CPL though.

30,000 made the clans that practiced 5 hours a day look stupid since there were several clans that practiced alot and got next to nothing though ranked high and 3D ended up having like less than 5,000 a member, heh. Don't forget taxes also . 70,000 however would be 10,000 for each. If they win that and add it to the first place prize for the Winter CPL they made they've reached the poverty level.

Though 70,000 finally makes it not seem like a very small amount anymore. Pretty cool...

having 10,000 dollars does not make you rich. by the way, turn off the fryer, the fries are going to burn.

for someone who probably doesnt have a job, wakes up at noon, and plays games all day just to get to the CPL with their team, having $10,000 makes you freakin rich......

                          .....for a while.

I don't quite understand what you're saying. You mean to say a biannual event only happens twice a year? That's preposterous!
