Ok Ill try that, I have 4 minutes left. I just looked in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamCache\Counter-Strike and theres HL and the subfolder cstrike. I am going to back up instantly as soon as its done.



I though it was just one big file (last time I looked it was a 400MB GC file.

yeah, just backup the whole cahche folder when its done, mine however is going even slower, 138mins left

OK this is odd, I clicked 'Play Game' after a minute of waiting the window disapeared. So I opened the server list and tried to join; it wont let me.



How do I create a LAN game? :/

This has probably been said b4 but i cant be bothered reading all the posts, sorry. Ive got the Retail version of CS, will steam patch that too? Is it only the steam servers that u cant connect on? has anyone tried All Seeing Eye, or the other game browsers or do these all have the same probs?

i thought the hole point of stream was that it worked out witch cs you got ( ie witch game you have normaly mod or retail ) and then copyed it and patched it acordingly

the beta isn't an upgrade....it's an entire new file that doesn't modify your cs 1.5

I cant find a 'create' game anywhere XD Trying to connect to a server takes ages then comes up with some bollox error message :/
