WEll how do you tell if a game is too small? The only games I've seen are 1-2 players on them. And it wont connect to them so I dunno...

The 4MB SteamInstall.exe is not the actual Steam 2.0 right? I'm guessing it's just the program to start the actual d/l of steam 2. Somebody please confirm

It is actualy steam 2.0, steam 2.0 is just the progrram valve uses to download 1.6 to your comp

You open up counter-strike in the games menu inside steam, then just click the counter-strike button in the lower left hand corner and click create server, be ready to wait a bit though, it took me about 5 min to make a server

btw for all you guys wondering, steam takes up about 420MB of disk space for me, thas with only CS1.6B installed through steam, nothing else.

Thanks gobd. I was just wondering if after running the steaminstall, i have to download the actual steam program first before being able to download 1.6. If that 4mb file is steam 2, then that makes one less download. Thanks for answering my ques. :)

ok, after updating to 1.6, have you guys tried running cstrike.exe (or a shortcut) from the cstrike directory without going through steam? Will it run 1.6 or the old version?
