Why don't those assholes just get rid of Steam altogether? it obviously can't handle normal traffic
    You sir are an Idiot.

While I agree with sam, this should have been released a traditonal way.

But Steam is just fine, its not steams fault that 500,000+ users tried downloading this all at once.

i think its because they want to get some money out of it, therefore in the future to use steam u need to pay.

don't u realize that this is all your f-k-g fault????

For those who downloaded that leaked version, If u haven't downloaded that and tried to use it, this wouldn't happen.

And u guys have guts to blame Valve or Steam?????

I was lucky enough to get Steam and CS 1.6.

anytime I try to Launch the game or join a server via Steam. It just says connecting forever. Anyone else know how to get around this, because Valve said anyone that has steam and 1.6 should continue beta testing, how do I beta test if I cant connect to anyones server

                        Games devs are too optimistic.

I got the steam 2.0 download off of steams main page from one of the mirrors before they decided to remove it and the program seems glitchy too. It keeps crashing for no reason ohwell maybe its from the too little bandwidth thing too somehow.

I blame the people who leaked it.

If you think about it, if people didn't leak it, this never would have happened and lots more people then just 3 of us in this whole website would have 1.6.

You'd think that with all the download craze that happens at EVERY new version release they would have learned their lesson by now. I mean, everytime all the big mirrors got swamped like stupid, what the hell did they expect would happen this time?

I'm not known for my vavle bashing, but this was simply the utter most stupid thing that could have happened (VALVe realized their bandwidth simply couldn't handle the load). I mean, hello! There is such a thing as experience. You might have had at least some idea what would've happened in terms of bandwidth requirements during something this big that people all over the world have been waiting for.

And now, cuz it's steam, you can't even start a local lan game, so there we are, with 935Mb of worthless files that you won't delete, cuz when they finally DO release 2.0 you'll have less to download.

                                *sigh* Absolutely brilliant.
