Steam 2.0 BETA Delayed

Valve leaked it. I went to the Steam website this afternoon and it said 'Try Steam Beta 2' and all of the links were links to webpages but one was a direct link to the file (I belive it was CS Central).

i have steam fully setup and im logged in. I have CS 1.6 downloaded and still cannot get on a server or get the program to begin at all.. go figure. when i select to play CS it says preparing game and after that message goes away i have a program Called HL running but nothing is happening ?/ *(

While we're at it, lets start a petition to change everything back to version 1.3. Who's with me? We alllllllllllll know that 1.3 is the "shizint" and that 1.4 and 1.5 are "uber dumb."

Well duh, some 1,000,000+ users were trying to download that leaked version and tried to get into CS 1.6 sooner than Valve was going to release. 1,000,000+ users trying to get in at the same time. So Valve probably didn't had a chance to notice this and by the time they found out, they were too late; Their bandwidth is long gone. I think the lesson is to learn how to wait until Valve officially release Steam to everyone.



And blame the people who leaked this out

1 million? Nononononononononononononono see only 300,000 people average play cs, and 70% of them were at school/work today when this happened.



So it was more like 1500 of them downloading at the same time.

And BTW I think computer game devlopers are lazy since they can just wait til the last minute and put something out then they can think to themselves "Hey! We can just patch it later!".

meh it works, just it took me literally 3 hours and 13 minutes to Start MY OWN server.... (It took that long just to start CS 1.6)



I dont know who to blame, I had off from school today. and around 2 PM EST, the links to Steam were already posted on the Steam site.



GG False leak, the only leak was the "official leak"
