Steam 2.0 BETA Delayed

Steam 2.0 BETA has been delayed until VALVe can muster up some more bandwidth. The program allows players to access the Counter-Strike 1.6 BETA. It was scheduled to go live earlier today, but many players downloaded early releases of the program and eventually VALVe realized their bandwidth simply couldn't handle the load.



No word on how long it will take for this issue will be fixed.

I wish the would release a zip of the steam folder with cstrike already in it... I think then it would work a lot better.

XGL, you can't blame the millions of people who download CS 1.6 at the same time. I bet you were one of them too.



We all want CS 1.6, and earlier today, I read CSCentral's comments page, and i was disgusted by the replies... people were going



"F___ING STEAM! WE WERE BETTER OFF WITHOUT THEM"



and



"DOWNLOADING CS WAS BETTER THE OLD WAY!"



Honestly people, let's not lose our heads! We're all very anxious to get 1.6!



(I have it already, It's just slow as heck)



Just patiently wait a day or two! A day won't kill you, will it?

I was lucky enough to get Steam and CS 1.6.



anytime I try to Launch the game or join a server via Steam. It just says connecting forever. Anyone else know how to get around this, because Valve said anyone that has steam and 1.6 should continue beta testing, how do I beta test if I cant connect to anyones server
