Steam was a great idea, but i personally think it is just AIM + Game support, the ability to make your computer download something you might not want (automatic updates?!?!?) and the possibility of pay-for-play in the future.

did anyone get that line, or is the average IQ in here lower than I thought?

Its really stupid , release cs 1.6, on 30 FTP mirrors, and that's the end of it but no , some one has to say "HEY WHY DONT WE MAKE A ROBUST DELIVERY SYSTEM OR THE LIKE?!?!" I blame steam for the cancellation of the jan 7 release, because im more than sure something in it was holding CS 1.6 back, and i blame it for this horrible f*ck up.



If valve is going to start over-freatureizing stuff, ( like ICQ for example, you have to sift through a pile of shit just too do anything ) no one is going to use it and it will make it harder. gack!

It will come.. we will wait, there should have been a little more thought proccess on this huge operation and on onther point mangled is correct even if u have steam/v 1.6 the bandwidth is to small to sapport all who have downloaded the patch.. so take a deep breath and wait a few days its a 3 day weekend you know!

ALSO -- in the LOG file I Made of my server it says the persons name



then -- <Steam_ID_Pending>



yet for my own it says my name then <Steam_id_loopback>
