Yes, this time NewBits come in the esports flavor. Our popular chocolate and vanilla lines have been suspended temporarily for this new brand. Quite a few bits here lads and lasses, so I'll get to the point.[break="click here for the clan changes!"]
      • wick3d and clark have retired from cs, quitting aox.

      • cripple, formerly of rival, and lostcause, formerly of tau, have joined up with riot-squad.

      • cbz has left pinnacle and headed to ilangamers

      • gosu and schoolcraft part ways with eternal silence and head off to game simplex along with their buddy nikita, formerly of nta.

      • gamelive, the remanufactured form of eminence, was denied a cal-i spot and bumped down to cal-m. in response, legends was moved up into cal-invite.

      • redrum, formerly of eminence, and shep, formerly of d|s, were added to shockwave's lineup.

      • green berets added ocu1ar and warden, formerly of es.

      • eternal silence added frod, formerly of gb.
A lot of shakeups in the clan scene. Hopefully most of these changes are for the best, and lead to a great CAL-i season. Hopefully. Thanks to cheetarah654 for all of that news.

We have quite a few updates for you, most of them thanks to N1ghtSt@lker and his constant flow of submitted news items. Seeing as most of the things that he has submitted today are esports related, I've decided to post a newsbits. But not just any newsbits - oh no! - an eSports newsbits![break="Read away."]
        • tdogg from got frag has written his second feature for got frag. if you're not familiar with got frag, you should be. they're an up and coming esports site that has exploded onto the scene recently. they have some of domain of games's top talent as their main newsposters. tdogg's article is entitled politics of leadership and features interviews with the leaders of some cal-i clans, along with his views on the art of leading a successful clan today. if you're interested, find it here.

        • one of the top cal-i teams last season, neg, has merged with team cyberdeck. they will be wearing cyberdeck's name and tag. domain of games has interviewed a few members from e^cd.
dog: first of all, why? why did neg and cyberdeck decide to merge?

e^cd-ph33r: well, before we decided to merge, i have been playing with neg on lan at cpl qualifiers, recently the clublan pre-qualifier where we placed 2nd, then the arizona regionals where we had placed 3rd and before this we had talked about merging, but then decided not to(this was before i played with them on lan) so now that we have merged, we will have an awsome lineup and a great rostor for cal-i
if you would like to read the whole thing, than point & click!

        • domain of games also interviewed former cal-i clan select few's sand after the reformation of select few. this was, of course, before select few disbanded again less than 12 hours later. if you want to read something incredibly out dated (1 day old) then click.

        • one of the new cal-i clans, eternal silence, has added a couple players to their roster. they've added a couple z4 members, bond*, krypto and steel. es|-wer had this to say:
es|-wer: towards the end of last cal season we lost a couple people....then we lost warden, es wasnt the right clan for him so we needed a couple more people, and digi i guess found krypto and bond. steel they met at a lan in texas and picked him up. i myself didnt even know they they were joining but one day i saw them there so yea, lol
That's all we have for you, but be sure to check back later for the latest news!

More clan NewsBits than you can swallow!
          • it appears that current cal-invite clan 187 has been demoted to cal-main due to their overall poor performances this season and last. whether it was their request to make it easier or cal mandated we've yet to see. whatever the case, 187 is currently listed in both main and invite. **update** recieved an email from 187 member confuscious. he writes:
hello there, this is in regards to your csnation post on 187's "demotion" to cal-m. just so you know, we requested to drop down for a season or so as we have had a number of roster changes and such. the leadership of the clan felt that a drop to an easier division would promote better overall morale. we currently have every intention of returning to cal-i play in the future, we just needed some time to "mesh" our new players and skill in with our old ones.
          • current cal-i clan tec captured the tgl-invite championship recently, edging out other cal-i clan simply wicked by a score of 14-10.

          • strong cal-main clan team power was just moved up to cal-invite last night, most likely to fill the gap 187 is leaving behind.

          • while most everyone is aware that reality check was recently moved up to cal-invite, rc also captured the recon gamer league's intermediate division title. for those not in the know, rgl's intermediate division is similar to cal's main division.

          • in cpl qualifier news, team bravado picked one up in south africa, defeating damage control octane to win the autoberth. in yugoslavia, game core vision defeated g-guild to win their own autoberth. bet ya didn't know cs was played in those areas, eh?
Got a scoop I didn't cover, but should? Toss an email to sublyme@counter-strike.net or use our news submitting system!

            • natu of 4th place Summer CPL team Destination Skyline has done a recap from his point of view on how the Summer event was. I spent a good amount of time hanging out with natu and digital of d-skyline at the Summer event, and not only were they talented players but they were pretty cool guys as well.

            • Radio ITG is going to be on hand at the World Cyber Games Grand Finals this week in San Francisco. I'll be covering the event for CS-Nation, although I won't be onsite this time around. However, for match coverage and constant radio updates, iTg will be there!

            • For those of you looking for a new league to compete in besides CAL and UGS, United Gaming Clans has announced that their 6th season has just kicked off. There's still time to register though, so get over there!

            • AmpedNews has put up a short article called "Why Counter-Strike?", which takes a look at why CS is still popular today and why other games just haven't been able to reach the top rung.

            • CS-Nation is giving away signed gaming mousepads. Never really heard of that site, but it sounds like a good deal to me.
I'm dressed like a goth today.

I prefer strawberry myself, for the record.

I wish I were more into esports ... might like to see more HLTV and demos on the front page. I'd probably watch more if I had better access to see them.

Further proof that loyalty means nothing these days. Clans are simply brothels, you move from one to another.

For kicks, rizzuh should have put "1.6" and "steam" in the news portion, and like rats, everyone would have flooded this comments section with non-sense.
