CS-Nation's Skin of the Day has returned and now has more bandwidth than ever!



The SOTD is now powered by our new download system, that lets you download from a variety of sources instead of just one. Right now our mirrors are powered by kick from DOG, Acclmn.com, Cs-Demo, and FilePlanet. Check out today's Skin of the Day to use the download system.



If you wish to become an SOTD mirror, please shoot me a quick e-mail. Please note that we'll need at least 700 megabytes of space and 70 GB of monthly transfer. We may not use it all, but better safe than sorry. Also, we need to be able to FTP directly to the webserver. We are very interested in international mirrors.

WOOOO, SOTD is back up. There are two things I always look forward to seeing on CSnation and that is SOTD and any news on CZ.



That being said, I have a comment on skins. What is up with people adding all kinds of attatchments like scopes, laser sights, etc. to guns? Personally, with all my skins, I look for a better looking version of the defaults. I can deal with flashlights on the guns, but that is about it. I don't like skins/models that are a totally different gun, i.e. a PSG1 for a Sig550, and I don't like attatchments that don't belong, i.e. a scope for an m4 or a grenade launcher for anything. If you can't zoom in with the gun I don't want to see a scope on it, and no gun can shoot grenades, so I don't want to see a grenade launcher on it, especially the mp5, I mean, I think it is EXTREMELY uncommon to find a grenade launcher on an mp5 even if it is possible, I don't know. Anyways, anyone feel the same way, and when am I gonna get a quality g3s replacement? I can't find one anywhere.

Nice work getting the SotD back up... I've really enjoy enjoyed that part of the site, as far as usefullness with a bit of humor, more than most other aspects.



Lucius -- You might check out the CS Operator pack, or Palehorse's Action Pak if you're looking for good replacements for a specific model... I don't remember the specifics, but they both tend to have quality models for most of the weapons. They might be doing a PSG1 for G3SG1, though, so who knows.

It's not our server, it's simply an anonymous donation and I don't want to label it as "DOP KICK'S SERVER" since all he did was give me ftp (even though that was very helpful, thanks sweetie!).



Also, that mirror will be the most reliable and will handle the most load. Which is why it's official I guess.
