Imagine the horror of loading up one of the most anticipated games of 2003, with grandiose plans of training yourself into a killer, sitting in front of your monitor dressed in full camo-gear, face smeared with your girlfriend's/mother's/escort's mascara as you dive into the AI fray, only to find the enemy shows the intelligence of a dropped-at-birth baby gibbon which has mistaken a banana for a MP5. The horror. But, thankfully, it seems we have little to worry about
ROFL!!

I'm not liking it all that much.
The modelling is okay but it feels really small in game - I know black is a slimming colour but I didn't think that worked for CS models too... other then it feeling like a toy in-game, there's also a gap between the trigger guard and slide, which I'm not sure how noticable it is on better resolutions but it was very noticable for me.
I'm really not liking the skin either. I rarely like the worn&torn look at the best of times, and this skin is far too batturd for my liking. Also, given it's meant to be black, that's one serious shine they've got going there. Pitch black and the bark and almost silver at the front? Doesn't really work. The wood grip looks a lil' funky as realisticly speaking, the grain is a tad too big. Unless they cut an old oak tree in half vertically to get this grip, it'd be a bit different. The obvious texture mis-alignment, which is noticable n-game, also detracts from the skin.
I think I've gone over these animations before. The shoot is ragid and very un-Desert Eagle-like, some of the faces on the slide of the gun disappear on the reload, while the reload itself is also very angular and is inhumanly exact. The draw is okay but frankly, I perfer the default animations.
Overall I'd say give this one a miss. There's better modelled Desert Eagles out there, better skinned Desert Eagles, and better animated ones. Doesn't help that whoever compiled this evidently didn't check for such basic stuff as texture mis-alignment. If you have a fetish for wood grips then you might like this one, otherwise there are much better Desert Eagles around.Comment
